I cant defeat dallas i keep bombarding with jourdan and then pushing with clinton. I end up getting to round 26 after 12 rounds of fighting dallas i upgraded my infantry as far it can go

You need to break the stalemate of units before going to Dallas

No it doesnt help, i did the guide word for word and nothing i even tried different ways on taking the misson it didnt work. I think they nerfed the artillery because my artillery has jourdan and high explosive powder on it and when i shoot at an enemy it barely does 20 damage. Dont say its the terrain because i made sure it wasnt |

Did you try out my route? That cuts down the enemy reinforcements by half & you can also launch an attack to hit Dallas while you mop up the central city attackers.
At the central city, I spammed either militia or the 2nd inf unit (from the top of the recruit screen), spawned 1-2 arty then demolished the factory & confronted the Spanish.
The cities to the North should be easy to defend (since you can spam militia in British city & you would've killed attackers of the ex-AI USA city).

I managed to finish on one star, I got gates. I decided to get roon because he seems as a good starter gen. He is paying off so far.
