The Heinz Guderian of EW6, except he’s the one that is IAP this time. That means he's von Manstein of EW6?

Yup, he’s Manstein, sorry. Definitely worth buying. If you are having problems in the early game due to crappy generals, Blucher will help you a lot. Later, once you have generals such as Murat, maybe you won’t use him a lot, but trust me: He will forever be one of, if not the best Cavalry general in the game. Don’t be afraid of using him.

Trust me, if you we forced in a hostage situation, and the only way out is to pick one general and use him in all conquests and campaigns and win, then Clinton would be your best pick for good luck. Blu her would be second place as he absolutely carries you

Clearing the early campaigns give you the free gens. All of them are meme worthy because of how pathetically (weak) strong they are, except for that French artillery general.

Jourdan, a powerful blue general who the majority of us like. Starts out at 35% hp, so you can give him an item right away. A great skill set for a free general too! Falsen, Gates (I recommend upgrading their hp to 35% and giving them an item), you only lose 10 medals long term, which you will make back very easily. Clinton, who is just terrible. Don’t bother investing in him. He is so bad!

Gone You can actually get counterattack to lvl 6, which is + 25 damage. Blucher at max can get + 85 damage from his skills, which gets multiplied by 25% for pf, and 50% from his specific ability, meaning he will recieve an additional 160 average damage (not as much as you would think as enemies have strong defensd in this game). So maybe 100 ish additional defense With a murat and Dabrowski (with cav commander flag) behind him maxed out, he gets + 125 from skills and allied buff, which gets multiplied by 1.25 for plain fighting, than 1.5 for battle/cav ability, he gets a 235 damage bonus, which is around 150 ish to account for additional defense. In early periods, his damage will be around 240-270 average (enough to one shot a militia unit), and in later ones, he’ll still do 180 on average due to the ridiculous amounts of defense the common units have, and even more so on the generals. For comparison, a militia on its own barely cracks 40 damage (but is a meatshield we are all thankful for).

Blucher is like a polar opposite to Radetzky in these games. Ok, they both have a similar awesome hat and stache, but Blucher has a black stache instead of a white one, and he sucks in EW4 while Radetzky is awesome there. While in this game Radetzky sucks while Blucher eats everything alive.
5 stars, would be 6 stars for the hat and stache.

Napoleon well not so much because he was fast at least. I agree

Wellesley is worse than Massena and any other top-tier Infantry general, while Napoleon is completely replaced by Sophia, Mahmud II and Alexander I. Murat is awesome, but Blucher can do some awesome things that Murat can’t and thus while Murat is really good, Blucher is still noticeably better than him.

Not only because they have two great unique units, but also because they have fewer crappier generals. Most of their generals are pretty good, with only Rohm being, like, super bad. Even Gneisenau is decent in terms of performance. But in Austria's case, their generals other than Karl and John are pretty bad.

This is a case of cavalry generals just being ridiculously OP, not that he's not replacable. See, Murat is equal to Blucher. Murat hits non-infantry harder than Blucher, but Blucher hits infantry harder than Murat. It's just that buying Blucher is like getting a 2nd Murat, while getting Napoleon is like getting a 2nd Mahmud.

And I like the blue hats that the Austrians wear, though Pickelhaubes are rad too.
