Will do. Let me see if I can beat the first mission of DOI with him unupgraded. Yeah just don’t expect him to be extremely amazing at first. Without a good healing item or high level skill, he is not that good. But the real power is in his potential. Does maxing his skills cost less than buying Massena?

Does maxing his skills cost less than buying Massena? Nope : ) My fully upgraded davout back when I used him had a selling price of 4500. Meaning that his total price tag was 5,625 + 400 medals for king rank. Add to that ambulance and flintlock pistol, thats around 6600 medals. But a fully upgraded Murat with those items > an unupgraded massena + murat

I will max his skills until his rank doesn’t allow anymore, then I will get him items, and then move on.

That should be sufficient to steamroll. You could also beat many conquests just with him (and as a way to learn how to play)

The gameplay system hasn’t been difficult for me, it’s quite similar to WC4. There are some differences such as Artillery being more focused for besieging cities, but those side changes aren’t hard to learn.

Apparently, Ambulance in this game is like Level 5 Machinist boosted by Medals, except this time it seems to be much more useful. So that will be the item priority.

At most, your general will have 400-500 hp (at most), usually 300-400. Having 30 hp healed each turn means you recover your entire hp every 10 rounds. It doesn’t matter if you are fully healed though, just don’t dip below 50%. If you do... retreat!

Wc4 on the otherhand, the modern war campaigns are very hard but doable. 1815 conquest is hard for even the easy nations, and literally near impossible for others. The last 3-4 challenges you will struggle on.

Well, Murat is the best cavalry general without IAP. The Heinz Guderian of EW6. 5 stars, he’s a must-have General.

Yay, I finally got him. I was farming the netherlands and usual to upgrade the russian tech. I was able to buy murat haha. I might even be able to upgrade his hp to 50% and give him the good old flintlock pistol by the time I have the tech upgraded. Then I will proceed right into the Russian campaign to get the juicy British tech and Massena

This guy has surprisingly low stats for a gold cav, but is still (slightly) stronger than Blucher. Let that sink in.

I mean, having the best cav skills does help.

Yep. 4/6 of the best cavalry skills in the game, the other two being edge and riding master. But I’d argue blucher is still a bit better. He trades manuever and surprise for counterattack and edge. You can leave him in a city and he will be an amazing defender. He is also better at taking out infantry, which is the most spammed unit in the game.

I use cavalry to get to places really really fast, so I'm almost always moving as far as I can. The difference is minimal though, so they're pretty much identical in the grand scheme of things. But I gotta say, I prefer Bluchers hat and moustache.
