Hmm. Davout Jr. I personally believe that he is a great general to buy early game. You get no free cavarly generals in the campaign, so you are probably lacking in this department. Greene is very reasonably priced, as he costs around the same as Bagration 50% reduced, but is so much better. He has the chance to attack twice (finish off wounded enemies, damage cities and generals severely, and has relatively good skills). He is a great placeholder till you can purchase Davout.
Please note that if you are not a fan of tactics master, then getting someone like ney would be smarter. However, in my personal opinion, it is a fantastic skill, second only to the aura buff skill. Not a bad general to add to your arsenal. For price comparison, he is 300 medals more expensive than Durova I believe, but so much better. He does start out with low skill levels, health and rank, so that is something you will have to remedy.

He is great, and like Paulus said, Davout jr. Really cheap.

I have Greene. He is really awesome in both early and late game as he only costs 895 medals and has some great skills. The only downside is you can only upgrade him to duke. But he is going to be my only cavalry general which saves me medals and gives me a great guy to put on lancers/heavy cavalry. (Disclaimer: His prowess in real life is another reason to get him)

I don't see this guy being so good, Ney is much more versatile.

I don't see this guy being so good, Ney is much more versatile. Don't forget, Greene is cost effective compared to Phillip and Paget. Ney has terrain and Riding Master, which would increase his only attack it just seems simple attack for my tastes. With greene's maneuver you have a chance to ignore barriers which is good or awesome in my case. Inf is defenseless now. ( Plus side here for me , it's a good combined total damage.) His tactics trigger is phenomenal for a duke. Sell him off , you'll miss him. But really he's his bits of Murat and Davout .

This guy is alright. Worse than ney and lan, but he can still do his job.He has Edge and Precision strike, so he hits infantry hard. The reason he isn't considered is because ney and Lan exist. But if you really love cavalry gens, and you want to someday join the wing hussars, then get this guy.

Really easy to get. Just play the tutorials, a few campaigns, collect the 100 medal reward, and do something else random. He is great, works for early game, and if you have a lot of slots, he might stick.

I would agree,on most, but if you need a first Cavalry general(of course we do),with better skills, for a bit more medals spent, then Ney makes more sense, though not knocking Greene,he is cheaper and good, but Ney is better, jmho.

Not a fan of him, he wasn’t very useful in the Southern Campaign in Declaration of Independende.

Not a fan of him, he wasn’t very useful in the Southern Campaign in Declaration of Independende. He had lvl 1 skills I believe. Greene is quite strong once leveled a bit. But not recommended anymore, due to ney

Looking back now, Greene is quite good, but Ney isn’t that much more expensive and is way better. Greene is not bad at all, though. 4 stars.

If you are a beginner, and can barely scrape up enough medals, greene is a strong starting general. But you grinded hard enough for murat so you don’t need him.
