On the conquest I used him against a prussian line infantry and he only did 20 damage, I used him on blucher, and he only did 15! 15!!! Historical Justice. In 1798 there was neither Warsaw Duchy nor Poland. These territories were part of Prussia. It is logical that Prussians are killing You Actually the polish were fighting them over the third partition

And in your source you cited, you missed this: "By the Third Partition of Poland, which was not finally settled until January 26, 1797"

And in your source you cited, you missed this: "By the Third Partition of Poland, which was not finally settled until January 26, 1797" So? It's still one year away from 1798. Also, Britannica is right. Here is a source from Poland; Just search "Poland During The Period Of Partitions 1798-1914" and you'll see an article with a pl. extension with the same name. It's from the University Of Lodz.

And in your source you cited, you missed this: "By the Third Partition of Poland, which was not finally settled until January 26, 1797" Poland was completely crushed in 1795. 1797 is just a Petersburg Convention where Russia, Austria and Prussia settled all the issues regarding borders, debts etc. Moreover, don't forget the Poland even before the 1st partition in 1772 was a Russian protectorate. Russian garrisons were placed in Polish cities since 1768, so 3rd Partition was the result of kind of a Polish Uprising, not even a war.
