From what I've read in this forum, Golitsyn and Ney are one of the most recommended medal generals, but which one is better (based on price, strength, skills, etc.)

I have been inactive on the forum for a long time so this information may be outdated. Additional information from other users to make a sound choice. Basically, Golytsin is useful for filling in the last slot since he has 5 stars cavalry, and 3 stars movement and so additional regrouping is not very necessary. Ney is more specialised towards attacking cities and buildings, since Mobility is not a very useful skill for cavalry (increases minimum damage instead of maximum damage). In summary its a choice between a versatile general that kills everything or a general that destroys fortresses and city units while doing decent damage to others.

Net is not as good as Sulkowski. Golitsyn is cheaper, but Sulkowski has spy. Your choice.
