So I am pondering what items to purchase for generals: my mains are Napoleon, Bismarck, and Blucher. I plan on getting Kutuzov, and Moltke or Murat afterwards.
Is it generally wise to opt for damage booster items, or should I try to by healing items? Napoleon already has ambulance equipped.
From what I’ve seen in these threads, buying the book items arent entirely worth it.
What are your thoughts?

You should be able to put double ambulances on Generals from what I’ve seen in the next update log. But also, the +10 BA, +30 Unit Ability items can work magic.

The Ambulance is the best item. Its the most expensive from the shop but the 30 HP per turn is a very big deal.

Discovered this in my shop just now: Royal Guard's Clothes: Imcreases gen HP by 20% Cost: 180 Medals If you use it on a gen with very high HP, the gen will be able to tank even more dmg. IMO, this seems like a good & cheap substitute for Ambulance. What do you think about this?

IMO, this seems like a good & cheap substitute for Ambulance. What do you think about this? I'm not to sure about this one, but I believe it raises the bonus HP (a marshall normally has +80%, with this he would have +100%) Considering the units with the most HP (Assault Infantry/Armored Car/Ironclad) have around 300 base health, this translates to an increase of 60 HP, which is not that significant (Ambulance heals that in 2 turns) not to mention that it will be harder to restore to full strenght. If I were to rank items, the order would be 1.Ambulance 2.The best for each class( eg. Fergusson rifle) 3.Prussian helmet 4.Tent 5.Royal Guards uniform 6.All others which are not worth buying If it turns out that we can purchase unlimited number of ambulances, I see no reason to buy anything other than the first two.

Post patch max ambulances is 2. All 3 health regeneration items been bumped to 2 so there are 6 HP regen items now.
The 15% defense helmet is very good since even the best generals usually only have like 20% defense and using that changes it to something like 35% +

I am not sure that 25% hps is accurate it looked more like 32% hp increase (of the general not counting the unit health) when I took a quick look at it.
