Edit:Project is complete for now, will update if there are more free general in a future patch. Thanks best75 for providing most of the data. Let's complete this thread and show all the free generals that are possible to get in campaigns as rewards, I didn't keep track of all of them so feel free to add the missing ones and I will update the OP as we go.[/u] Format will be Campaign Name + the Specific Campaign + the Name of the general.
Dominion of Canada, last mission, Falsen, an Admiral (navy general)
USA Declaration of Independance, 2nd mission, Jourdan, an Artillery general
USA Declaration of Independance, 5th mission, Clinton, an Infantry general
USA Declaration of Independance, Last mission, Gates, an Infantry general That's it, these are 4 generals we get for free.

You get Jourdan in Boston campaign, 2nd mission of USA campaign
Clinton in Southern Campaign, 5th mission of USA campaign
Gates in Westward Movement, last mission of USA campaign.

It's weird they chose not to give a Cavalry general at all and went for 2 infantry commanders instead. I think it would have been better if they gave 1 general from each of the military branches.

Only Jourdan is more or less adequate past starting campaigns and challenges, and maybe Falsen as probably the only navy captain in most players roster.
But in navy battles your favorite inf/cav/arty generals will perform much better than the lackluster Falsen lol.
