Has anyone seen this? I can't seem to find the country it belongs to. I think it's referring to the red shirt army for Italy and Sardinia.

It's a strange name for a unit since an army is made up dozens/hundreds of different type of units. Anyways, maybe a future Russian unit? The Russians refer to WW2 as the "Great Patriotic War".

Its a but complicated, but a mikitary organ of x nation translated to an another language might result in it seeming like it's higher or lower in military organ sizes while it is just a different organization the nation uses. So army could just mean Division in some nations

It's for one of the South American nations. They are the countries not yet in the game.

It’s patriotic, therefore it’s probably a country from the American continent with a high chance of it being a unit during the American Civil War Campaign/Challenge.
It would probably be added due to generals like Grant and Robert E. Lee being generals.
But who knows? Maybe it was just fanservice for people who liked countries fighting themselves.

Sorry, must have been a issue with posting. I was asking what campaign/challenge you see the new unit from.
