Nope. You need to recharge a certain amount example 3000. Basically it's useless. You are better off farming conquests

Think of it as when you purchase medals, they go into the bank. You can then exchange the medals in the bank for these items. It doesn't take away from the medals you have in your wallet ripe for spending.

Buying a total of 3000 medals will get you all the books. |

To be honest I'm surprised that these books are so ineffective. If success rate of using those books were higher (and therefore reputation of those books were better among players) - then ET could increase their sales significantly, imo. I'm sure that many players would prefer using these books to playing Sardinia or Netherlands million times.

For those who is sick of conquest farming use the XP farming method to grind medals. Just give an ambulance and Napoleonic code to Your gen. Bring him into the 4th mission of the Expedition to Egypt. Just stay in Alexandria and skip the turns. All You need is to restart the mission on turn 16 to continue grinding  I use cavalry gen on the Heavy Cavalry which could be purchased in the stables, or alternatively there is a cavalry unit given from the very start. You will earn Your medals even faster than farming it in conquest. Sometimes You receive no medals for several tries, sometimes it is 20 medals per mission. But in general overall trigger chance is somewhat 4-5%, true. |

I thought about this method when update but when I test it didn't work, so I have to turn back the classical farming in old version. Already try again with 20 times more, still 0 medal after all. |

It's just low trigger chance, but stable. |
