I recently got a lot of medals by completing a conquest and I now have 1656 medals. I have only one general: unupgraded Messe and I am at WW2 Europe with only 2 Allies missions left. Who should I buy/save for? I would be thankful for some advice as I have a hard time determining which generals actually are good.

You have 3 choices at this moment:
- Leeb. He's consider to be a gen strong enough to carry you to the end of the game & he's quite cheap.
- Guderian. He's the best non-IAP tank gen, but he's gonna cost a LOT. If you can, make him your 2nd gen, otherwise, 3rd place is fine.
- Konev (buy at price with maximum discount to save the most medals). He's arguably the best non-IAP arty gen. He can also be used as s substitute for an inf gen in Daily Battles.

I think I will go for Leeb as I dont really know how to get enough medals for Guderian and I am a long way off from being able to beat all the discount missions for Konev. |

Panzer Leader's quite good, Plain Fighting is something we can often exploit, Tide of Iron is average. 5* stars off the bat is very good for the team. Although is speed is slow, the speed of all units can be improved using Tech upgrades so this does not matter too much. As a pure tank gen, he's a gen that can carry your team to the finish line. Some members here have used him in their final team line-up before, I think. He's a pretty good buy as well if you want to buy him. |

I will go for Leeb as i think that the artillery ability (avoiding counterattack) will be really strong in combination with a general.
Sad that the guaranteed extra attack on tanks got removed. They were unstoppable with a good general.

They were unstoppable with a good general. You can get the guaranteed extra attack for tanks back. Upgrades in the tech tree will increase the extra attack chance to 75% and than 100% |
