Recently I completed the 1812 conquest with a three star, two star, and a one star country, and I wanted to share my experience to help other people beat it as well. I personally found the best countries for beating this conquest are USA (3 star), Sweden (2 star), Egypt (1 star).
Now before we get started, I just want to mention that it is best to play in this era as the coalition, as the Usa has a tendency to collapse quite often, which will make it virtually impossible to land in America. This is due to the fact that Usa is isolated and it’s enemies, both Canada and Mexico have twice the maximum population that America does, which allows them to sweep up the continent quite quickly. The only way that America can truly win is if it was to first defeat Canada and then Mexico which if possible would take a lot of turns.
Another important tip is the fact that the imperial eagle faction is stronger than the coalition in Europe.
Also, a valuable tip is to defeat/lend lease small nations (preferably one star) as they can spam out troops quite well as they start out with a reasonably small population. (Have the potential to reach 160 population like the big countries surrounding them).
Now as for the walkthrough, for Usa (3 star), you don’t have to lend lease anyone. Just try to survive, and slowly push the canadians back and take their capital with your main forces. However, if you can have to seperate fronts, the other with mexico, I strongly advice that. Just push to each countries capital, and then proceed to mop them
up once that finishes. If not, then defend on the western front while pushing the canadians and capitulating them first. Once you get into a comfortable position, you can lend lease saxony, algeria, and any other country you see fit to spam out troops. By the time you knock both countries out, Russia will have collapsed, and the only step left will be to invade england. I advice to this one last as I found it to be the hardest of the 3.
Now I found the next two conquests to be simpler. For the two star country, I used Sweden. You have quite a reasonable time period to gather up troops in order to defeat denmark. I found the best strategy is to land one of the infantry generals given (either Dobeln or Bernadotte) next to copenhagen before I declare war, and then proceed to quickly take the capital with the help of a strong navy general. You can kill of denmark pretty quickly, although they will still have iceland in their control. Then proceed to capitulate saxony, italy, poland, naples, and france in any order you see fit. No need to worry about the Americas, but you can lend lease Canada when money is no longer an issue.
Finally, we have the one star country, Egypt. I personally prefer egypt to Morocco as I can backstab the ottoman empire quite well as most of their troops are fighting the Russians and the Austrians. Algeria won’t enter the war till turn 13 I believe, so send your fastest moving units into the ottoman empire territory. Once turn 13 comes along, you will have to fight on another front though against algeria, but you will have help from Morocco. Simply start preparing troops in advance for the front in algeria, and lend lease Morocco, and you will be in an ideal position to defeat Algeria, naples, and later italy.
