I have Konev, Guderian, Rommel, and Yamamoto right now. At this point, is it worth saving up for another general, or should I spend my medals on upgrades for my existing ones. Specifically, what upgrades/general should I pursue. Thanks.

What some recommend or have used to clear WC4 is a combination of 3 tank gens, 2 arty gens & 1 navy gen. So I think you should buy Leeb and Rokossovsky/Vatutin to complete the formation. All 3 are specialists in their respective unit types so you need not worry about a weaker hybrid skill set. All 3 have good skills, stars and army ranks.

For skills, focus on Accuracy, Blitzkrieg, Panzer Leader, Arty Leader and Rumour first. (This is in no order)
For tech tree, focus on getting 100% Assault & max out arty's Firepower ability, then on Movement, Def, HP and Atk (the last 4 are in no order).

This is true, but I sometimes use an infantry gen for infantry-based Domination modes. Yamashita is amazing and Mannerheim is a great silver infantry gen.

I'm just summarising an alternative path to having a pure inf gen (Konev is said to be a very good inf-arty hybrid & I do have positive exp using Konev as a substitute inf gen). Whatever paths players choose, it'll still benefit them. So you do you, I'll do me, and we'll both win... probably.
