Hello, could you explain to me how the negative and positive values of the different terrains, fences, trenches and bunkers work? It is not understood if the values apply to the unit that occupies that terrain or to enemy units that attack on the ground. Thank you very much.

It gives a defensive buff to units occupying that ground. For example, some will write -x% Arty symbol, his means that arty dmg is reduced by x%. Also, terrain slows down troop movements (unless you have a gen with Geography, you have extra high mobility or you are using an inf unit with the ability to negate effect of terrain on movement)

Hello Friends! Thanks for answering !!! But, if the fence serves to resist the attack of the enemy cavalry and in that terrain it says: horse -25, and the trench serves to resist the attack of the enemy infantry, why the value of this terrain is positive: infantry +20 . I thought that the positive value influenced the unit that occupies that place, for example: infantry +10 means that the infantry in that place receives% 10 less damage from any enemy unit. And when the value is negative it refers to the unit that attacks this place, for example cavalry -25 means that any unit of its own located there receives 25 less damage from enemy cavalry. Please help! batallamuda, Iron Duke, Nobunaga Oda, Tito,

Please help! batallamuda, Iron Duke, Nobunaga Oda, Tito, I don't understand, I don't see any terrain that has a (unit type symbol) +X% screen anywhere. Can you post a screenshot of terrains which give positive value? If a unit is on a terrain with -X%, the dmg he receives is (total dmg - X% of dmg). If he is on a tile that has defensive structure, the same rules apply. If a special terrain (Mountain/Forest) had a defensive structure, the higher defensive percentage is used. For example, a bunker is built on a mountain. A bunker has Inf -10% & arty -30%. The mountain with the highest defensive capability has cav -10% and arty -20%. The total defensive capability of a bunker built on such a mountain will be inf -10%, cav -10% & arty -30%.

The bunker has Inf 10 (Positive +) not - 10.
I can not insert a screenshot, how do I do it?
If I click a bunker, the terrain information appears: INF 10% and ARTY -30%. If I build the bunker on a mountain the defensive value of the bunker appears like this: ARTY 30%. I do not understand! please HELP!

I've neither seen a bunker that has +10% inf nor have I seen a bunker's defensive value change. It could be a glitch. This leads you to a thread on posting screenshots. european-war-4.boards.net/thread/7699/on-using-screenshots

Two types of units appear when clicking on a bunker ... 10% infantry and -30% artillery. Just tell me what the negative and positive value means. Please!!! Sometimes, the bunker is on a mountain and the value changes, is 30% the artillery, not -30%. Try it for yourself. I do not get it. Thanks for your answers.

In a previous post, in explained how placing defensive constructs on special terrain changes the total defensive value of the tile. However, I've really NEVER seen a + value on defensive constructs OR terrains. A screenshot can solve this mystery once & for all.

Thank you as always for answering me. The photo: ibb.co/iOqXaeInfantry 10% Cavalry -25% I need to know what those values mean. You could send me the publication of the specific lands? Thank you!!!

Thank you as always for answering me. The photo: ibb.co/iOqXaeInfantry 10% Cavalry -25% I need to know what those values mean. You could send me the publication of the specific lands? Thank you!!! It basically is a debuff or a buff to your particular unit on a certain tile. -25% cavarly means that you lose 25% of the damage you would normally do on cavarly. Really, its nothing to get worked up over. I move on the offensive so quickly that I never really notice these things.

I think that it could just be a graphic error. I think I see a very faint - in front of the 10%. VS My version (latest official version which has crisp graphics, curtoursey of ET) Then, for stacking defensive structure on top of terrain, Let's 1st look at a bunker's natural defensive capability (on neutral plain terrain): Then, lets look at the defensive capability of a forest: Lastly, when stacking a defensive structure on top of terrain, the highest defensive capability is the total defensive capability for ALL units (if bunker arty -30% def is greater than forest def, bunker -30% arty def is taken). The same goes for Trenches:

Entonces ustedes también tienen valores negativos y positivos? -25% de caballería significa que yo causaré menos daño? Y por ejemplo 10% de infantería significa que recibiré menos daño?
