I have the 3 iap + Davout + Lannes + 4 free gens. I'm looking to replace clinton with an actually useful gen. Based on this forum and my own thinking, I'm pretty sure I've narrowed it down to either Karl, Massena, Murat, or Mahmund III. What do you guys think? I could also spring for Nelson but so far I would just need a navy to 3 star not to beat missions.

You will need 8 generals anyway for some missions, for example "Support Spain". Without at least one Infantry master your Wellington and Lannes are quite weak. And Blucher+Murat is a such wonderful pair so that it would be a crime to miss it...

I’d wait to see how the princess generals are implemented in the next patch before spending on a new gen. The Chinese forums are saying its early August.

stoic , You know I am a collectioner, so I want to have Massena and Barclay in my team in future. Because... they are Barclay and Massena not only because they are best inf generals in the game Just curious, with adding cav generals into Your team who is sitting on the bench right now? Suvorov, Lannes?

Suvorov, Lannes? We, mere mortals, don't have any bench at all . We have only 8 slots, so rotations are impossible. Yes, I was forced to dismiss Suvorov and Lannes and bought 4 cavalry generals to complete all missions with 3 stars. Now my idea is to dismiss Ney plus Bagration and hire Karl plus yes, yes Suvorov So my final 8-generals team will be: Alexander-John Suvorov-Massena-Karl-Barclay Murat-Dabrowski. I agree it was quite a bizarre way to build up a team, but these requirements in some of the Challenges left me no choice really. I hope though that this team will be able to challenge some of your records

I am sure You'll beat most of it I wouldn't be so sure but thanks for encouragement Nice. I am also considering firing Scharnhorst for Mahmud II. I think we have 11 general slots, the other 3 are purchasable with gold. You don’t need too many generals as only 7 healing items are available, i would have at least one naval general too.

In many conquests it is possible to avoid any substantial damage to your Artillery generals. And, yes, a naval general can add some plausibility to our strategy. Anyway, for practical reasons 8 generals should be enough. At least for me

Anyway, for practical reasons 8 generals should be enough. At least for me True. But those additional three spots can come in handy. For example, you can reserve it for an additional infantry artillery navy and or cavarly general, which you can use in situations where a particular unit is better than the other. For example, in France 1806, it is better to have more artilley generals as you will get 2 range from the start. I see what your are saying though. There is no minimum amounts of generals you can have, in fact you can probably beat some conquests without any generals. I say in this game, quality is more important than quantity, as there are only two ambulances, and two tents.

There’s 7 healing items so basically thats the reason why I have a naval general in the mix

I found that navy generals are the ones that really need the Battlefield med pack. Its the artillery generals you can rely on for not taking a scratch.
