Neither choice is bad. But Barclay is better at handling a front by himself.

I will get Washington because of his op output as you already have two gens with aura skills.

In my game, the average output of Karl Masséna and Barclay (not fully upgraded) is around 190. I haven’t tested out what common militia do, but they should also have a + 60 damage boost. If you spam a couple riflemen to help them out, they should take down anything in your way.

Washington, has a Good damage output, maybe the highest in the game, or in Infantry, Barclay is a one man killing machine though.

i chose karl and he is very powerful not only against cavalry, he with massena destroy everything, but barclay is a very good copy of massena (barclay dont have critical skill).
In the first time i think the same of karl (only good against cavalry), but he can deal a great damage against any unity.
