Hey guys, I am stuck on discovery age. I can’t beat the 1st mission of the Columbus campaign. Conquest is too difficult for me, and upgrading to the new era would do nothing for me, as I don’t have enough medals to upgrade my generals. What did you guys do when you got stuck in this era? Right now I get 105 medals twice a day, so should I wait till my generals are greatly buffed, or is there an easier way to get out. Right now I am investing the medals I get from daily missions on upgrading Napoleon and Richard’s rumor, but I am thinking of investing them into buffing Montezuma to replace Lincoln.
Any advice will be appreciated. Also I am at the point where i can’t win anymore attacks or battles in empire. Did you guys just wait it out till your generals where stronger, or is there an easier way to escape? Thanks.

Perhaps I'm forgetting something, but I don't understand why you don't just upgrade to Gunpowder? My recommendation would be to go for it and use your medals to upgrade your best generals.

So just upgrade to gunpowder as fast as I can. Right now I got 289/600 literature required. So thats the smartest course of action for me now. Thanks for the advice.

So the answer for me is to grind literature and save my medals, so that I can upgrade my generals as soon as I get to gunpowder. That makes sense, tanks!

Yeah, but you only want to upgrade those generals that will make your final lineup. Also, if you have Nobunaga there's one age where it makes sense to upgrade him last, I think it's this one but not 100% certain. The answer is floating around in this board somewhere...

I don’t have him yet, as I got Richard first. I will get him next age though, and upgrade him then. He is the mvp in conquest, but he gets wrekt in campaign easily. I think I want to be able to get the 125 cities mark before anything, as I will greatly boost my income of medals that way. I somehow was able to push to 110 cities today so only 15 cities left to go thankfully. But I completed some of the green objectives in campaign and now I have almost 400 literature. Just got to tough it out and not quit.

i had to spend some bucks just to upgrade an age lol Lol thinking of doing the same thing as my semester begins soon. The funny thing is that I won’t have enough coin to upgrade to the new age if I do that, so I guess I have to do it the hard way and play as greece 10 more times.
