But alexander have mountain fight and mahmud dont have a good terrain skill

i calculated the output of the general with the artillery in the max level
John and alexander: John have 272(mountain + jungle figth) and alexander have 221 (with mountain figth)
Mahmud and alexander: Mahmud have 201( without desert figth) and alexander 255 (with mountain figth)
and john and alexander have more output

It is very useful in many circumstances. I would say both combinations are very close to each other. |

You can get Sophia instead of John.

On the other hand John has bonus against cities... It is very useful in many circumstances. I would say both combinations are very close to each other.
