Now, we all know that in this game, the princesses we will be wooing can be obtained in a 2-step method:
1) Build the city where the desired princess resides.
2) Pay materials at a set frequency until their bar fills to 100%.
While I was wooing some princesses in my current run, I thought to myself, "Based on some logical guesses on things the princess' country of origin may be interested in, will the percentage be higher?"
To test this, I used Perfume on Julia, Pearls on Li, Diamonds for Sophia, etc. and whatever I thought was most fitting to all 6 princesses I'm currently wooing.
I believe that this strategy works on Li, Julia and whoever I can afford to woo/whoever I guessed correctly. Their percentage actually shot up!
I may be wrong but I believe that Perfume has a noticeable impact on Rome & Italy and Pearls for China/merchants who traded via China's major ancient trade routes. That was why I made such matches.
So, does this mean that ET actually did their research and got some cultural things about this game correct?
