As the title suggests, I am looking for generals who have the most use in campaigns (so Rumor, Spy, Leadership is a must, whereas abilities such as Logistics can be somewhat ignored, or at least made less of a priority). Some examples I can think of are Nobunaga. Anyways, please feel free to list the most useful generals in this area for each category. Kind of like this:
Archer: Nobunaga... Artillery: Cavarly: Infantry:
I want this to be a thread where newcomers can find out who the best generals are a must to get far into the campaign

When used correctly, Logistics makes him immortal. Give Saladin the right items and you'll see him cutting down enemy inf, regaining HP & blasting the enemy rear with his active skill.

Surprisingly, I have not upgraded him at all since I just recently gotten him. He's still level 1 in all skills. A good general that requires no initial payment of medals to get.

A good general that requires no initial payment of medals to get. Hmm interesting. I was actually comparing him to genghis khan in my last playthroughs, and he died very quickly in medieval conquest, even when saladin was at discovery level, whereas genghis khan took a while to kill (as Scotland, he made it all the way from Glasgow to dying next to the tile to the left of hawaii).. Maybe I should get him. He and Abe Lincoln are actually both really cheap generals to use to speedrun classical, as its very cheap to get lincoln to level 5 logistics, at which he is capable of speedrunning classical (however, thats the only thing he is good at haha). Saladin is quite good, a nice replacement for Blucher. Charlemagne is basically Saladin without logistics, idk why anyone would spend so many medals on that.
