GoG and GoG Pacific War tips and tricks

Tips for GoG (Europe) :

1. For campaigns, upgrading the commander is vital to progress further. In this case, I recommend upgrading the commander to one bar and one stripes. Then, you can save medals until you can upgrade the commander to three stars.

2. For campaign missions, it is vital for you to reach 5 stars rating in the first 2-3 levels, as gaining 5 stars in campaign levels will give you 50 medals.

To reach 5 stars, you will have to complete the level under a certain amount of rounds or retain all cities when the level ends. To see the time limit, pause the game and look at the time limit under the Great Victory.

At the start of the game, you will get 80 medals. Add it with 4 levels (2 from allies and 2 from axis) that you have 5 stars, you will have around 285 medals = 80 + (50 x 4) + 5 (from killing enemies)

3. From all units that you might consider giving a general on, the most mobile is infantry, while the most powerful is artillery. Tank units have both mobility and powerful attacks, basically a compromise between inf and art.

4. Tanks are arguably the most powerful of all units, followed by artillery and infantry while sea units are underpowered in this game. Therefore, if you want to buy generals, it is recommended to buy powerful tank generals or artillery generals.

5. Generals that you may want to have at the beginning campaigns are Kulle, Dietrich, or Araki. Their price are all under 700 medals.

6. After upgrading the commander, it is advised to upgrade the Financial Center in the HQ. With that upgrade, you can gain resources in the level, even if you don't have a city or factory.

7. The more enemies you kill, more medals you will get because there is a kind of system ingame that will give you a medal for an unknown number of enemies you killed.
