So after a couple months, I was wondering how you guys felt about each unit type If you look at my (FTP ONLY) Recommended Gen Paths Discussion, the gens you need are mentioned there. Of course, you have to filter out some spams, repeat info, etc. For me, I kinda plan to get a balanced line-up. 2 arty, 2 cav, 3 inf, 1 navy.

I just want people to know if whether they should go for a cavarly team or an infantry team first, and what the general community thinks 😊

IMO, a balanced line-up is a good start for those who don't want to specialize IMMEDIATELY. Then, you can do whatever you want. Especially for those who have not mastered playing EW6, getting to experience everything first, then weigh what final ine-up they want seems like a better option.

You do get 2 free infantry generals, so getting someone to buff them would be a smart move.

Considering that 3 Generals with aura buff can get militia to deal 100 damage what more with 2 semi buffed generals?

Cavalry is the strongest land unit stat-wise in any category besides efffectiveness in taking cities. So it might seem a good choice to take only cavalry generals. However, there 2 major limitations: the number of starting cavalry units and also the number of good generals. The first one, is particulary bad, the second is managable.
Therefore, mostly because you are limited in challenges by this factor, I'd advise getting a balanced team. I: Karl-Massena-Barlclay C: Murat-Davout/Lan-Dabrowski A: Mahmud-Alexander (which is quite good for any unit since he has OP battle ability, like all Russian generals) /John
