A team of Attila & Saladin + 1 infantry, 1 artillery & 4 archers might work. As has been said already you could have Bismarck in reserve and swap him in for an inf/cav general in missions that require 2 artilleries. Oh thx u saved my life i was already thinking about restarting the game but nvm. But im still thinking will 3 inf 4/3 archers and 1/2 arty be better? Which one would u suggest me It's a case of personal preference I'm afraid. Stoic completed first time with 3 inf, 3 arch & 2 art. Singlemalt & I did it with 5 arch, 2 art & 1 cav (although I also used Alex for all but the last few missions where I brought in the 5th archer). Andrei had 4 arch, 2 art, 1 inf & 1 cav. Dain's team was 3 arch, 2 art, 2 cav & 1 inf. You can check them out here if you haven't already: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/6183/finaly-beat-volgograd?page=2As you can see there is more than way to skin this particular cat. I'm not a big fan of infantry, some don't like cavalry, but the core of archers is definitely the easiest (make that least difficult) way to go about it. The main thing you need to complete this game is patience. You get these choke points where you're grinding for literature with not much else going on, but then you finally upgrade levels and start moving again.

Happened to me yesterday after being stuck on Discovery Age Aztec Mission 2, upgraded to Gunpowder just to finish it and ended up getting stuck again at Great Patriot Mission 3
