Hello gentlemen,
I just started yesterday playing EW6 via computer (the game is now free on Microsoft Store). At the moment, I want to onow which would be the first steps I should do, considering the following factors:
- in campaign I got to the battle of Cheesapeake, all made 3 stars
- as generals I have only the two free ones (Jourdan and Clinton)
- I spent no money or medals yet on generals/upgrades
- I have done no conquest yet
In these conditions:
- which should be the first general to buy?
- what conquests to do with what countries, considerind I'd have only the two free gen and maybe the one I bought
- what upgrades should I spend my money on?
If there are more pieces of advice you want to give as a beginner, it would be great!

You can 3 star most missions with free generals until you come ending missions of french eagle so dont rush to buy a general.
You should have 2k~ medals after finishing campaigns and doing all 1798 conquests. If you are good with aura/terrain skills go for Karl first then Mahmud II or you can go Massena then Mahmud II
For 1798 its all about french allies
3 star : ottomans or maybe spain
2 star : Denmark
1 star : netherlands obviously
And make sure to use 1798 Netherlands Medal Farming

And Massena Karl and Barclay combo makes militias destroy tanks so make sure to use aura skills

You say that it is easy to get 3 stars until the last missions from French Eagle. But for me at least, I find it very difficult. I did not understand yet how the units work (I do not understand the game mechanics and what unit counters what since I'm used to EW4) and other things like that (for example, why does the enemy spawn in between rounds 2-3 new units out of nowhere apparently), but I developped my difficulties list in this thread european-war-4.boards.net/thread/9060/disaster-ew6 |

If you want a princess, Victoria (naval) or Sophia are really cheap and effective options. Victoria is a game changed as she is between treville and nelson in performance, but costs much less. Sophia is the substitute for John now.
