Field Marshalls
1.Eisenhower: Most expensive general in the game, but definitely not worth your money
. Not recommended
2.Zhukov: Although he has 3 stars in tank, artillery and infantry, he is still (arguably) the best artillery general in the game: 3 stars in artillery, highest HP and very high movement. Govorov has higher stars in artillery, but very low movement.
Quite recommended if you have enough medals.
3.Goering: There’s no difference between him and Arnold, while Arnold costs way less. 4 stars in air is the only thing he has, apart from the idiotic price of 2300 medals.

Marshalls
1.Manstein: 125 HP, 3 stars in tank and more expensive than Rommel and Guderian? No thanks.
2.Rokossovski: The only difference between Manstein and Rokossovski is that Rokossovski has steel (!) teeth.
3.Chuikov: 3 stars in artillery, 125 HP and way more expensive than Govorov. Not worth your precious medals.
4.Rundstedt: Artillery commander with 3 stars in artillery. Get Govorov instead of him.
5.Montgomery: Basically the same as Manstein, the only difference is that Manstein looks much more impressive than this Englishman.
6.Nimitz: In this game, Navy generals are not recommended. If you want an air general, get Greim or Arnold
7.Yamamoto: Navy generals are not recommended in this game. Arnold and Greim are recommended if you want to use him as air general
8.MacArthur: Yes, he looks badass, but still he is inferior to Vasilevsky.

Generals1.Guderian: Although Vatutin also has 4 stars in tank, Guderian has higher HP and 3 stars in infantry. 2.Rommel: One of the best tank generals in GoG. 4 stars in tank and 3 stars in artillery. 3.Patton: One of the best tank general. He’s the cheapest 4 star tank general with 110 HP. 4.Vasilevsky: Best infantry general of the game. 4 stars in infantry and 110 HP. 5.Yamashita/Okamura: Infantry generals that are inferior to Vasilevsky 6.Arnold: Best air general in GoG for 1800 medals 7.Alexander: He looks like he needs to get shaved. Anyways, he’s an artillery general with 3 stars in artillery and is inferior to Govorov. 8. Mountbatten : Best general in the game :3 9.Tassigny: This French dude is similar to Alexander and therefore worse than Govorov. 10.Paulus: You need to pay 1376 medals to get a worthless general. 11.Darlan: As said earlier, navy generals are worthless in this game 12. Graziani: Looks like Easytech appreciates him more in WC3 than in GoG. In this game, he’s way too expensive with very bad stars. 13.Konev: Infantry/artillery general. Quite recommended if you want a multi-role general

In the Pacific version, even battleships without generals shoot with 40 damage or something and submarines have 60% more health. |

Side note :
Eisenhower, Zhukov and Göring have the rank of Field Marshal
The ones with 4 stars like Montgomery are Generals
The ones with 3 stars like Rommel are Lieutenant Generals
2 stars like Bradley are Major Generals
1 star with 3 stripes like Vatutin are Brigadier Generals

Major generals (+98 HP)
1. Timoshenko: 3 stars in tank and 3 stars in artillery. Although he certainly is a multi-role general, Vatutin is still better. Not recommended 2. Fletcher: Navy generals are useless in this game. Use. Less. Not recommended 3. Bradley: 3 stars in infantry and tank, he’s not recommended 4. Dönitz: 3 stars in navy and therefore, he’s -just like all other navy generals- not recommended 5. waltermodel : “Hitlers Feuerwehrmann” is not recommended in this game, as Vatutin >Model 6. . Smigly: Smigly has 3 stars in artillery and is for some reason alsmost always stationed in a tank. Because Govorov>Smigly, he’s not recommended 7. Mannerheim: Such a shame, in World Conqueror 3, he’s badass, in GoG, he’s not worth 1080 medals 8. Bock: 3 stars in infantry, 2 stars in tank… Not recommended 9. Lin: 3 stars in infantry, which makes him inferior to Kuribayashi 10. Walker: He’s similar to Walker’s crisps: Half of it is air. Only buy him when you do not like Vatutin 11. Leeb: Mildly impressive moustache, mildly impressive stars. Mildly recommended 12. Messe: Tank general (3 stars), Italian and therefore not recommended 13. Nanbu: Navy general (3 stars in airforce, 3 stars in navy), only get him if you want an air general and if you’re too impatient for Arnold 14. Jisaburo: Same stars as Nanbu, lower cost 15. Stilwell: Vinegar Joe is as bad as always 16. Gamelin: Close your eyes, make a full turn, quack like a duck, jump in the air, open your eyes…. aaaand Gamelin is still crap. Maybe you’ll have some more luck next time 17. Du: I can not find a word to describe his inferiority to every other general in this game 18. Portal: Recommended air general for a low price. But Greim is cheaper and precisely the same

Brigadier generals (+86 HP)1. Vatutin : Best tank general in the game for the best price. Extremely recommended for beginners (If you like grinding a bit) 2. Kuribayashi: Best infantry general in this game. Sadly, infantry isn’t very useful and you can better buy Vatutin 3. Govorov: Best artillery general in this game for a reasonable price. Buy a general slot (if you want) and buy Vatutin or Rommel. 4. Peng: 3 stars in infantry and 3 stars in artillery still make him not recommended 5. Clark: Kuribayashi>Clark 6. Holt: Vatutin >Holt. Weird thing is that Easytech misspelled his name, so Hoth became Holt 7. Badoglio: Good in WC3, crap in GoG 8. Xue: 3 stars in infantry and that’s about it. Not recommended 9. Zhang: 2 stars in infantry, 1 star in tank, 1 star in artillery, 2 stars in airforce. Why would you want to buy him? 10. Auchinleck: Not recommended for the same reason as Xue 11. Simonds: If you want mediocre generals, buy him 12. Weygand: 3 stars in tank. He’s not that bad, but Vatutin costs 200 medals more and has 4 stars in tank 13. Inn: Not recommended 14. Pappgoose: Actually named “Papagos”, but Easytech is still bad at English. Not recommended 15. Shigeyoshi: Not worth it, because he’s an Navy general. Instead buy:  16. Wavell: Not recommended, not good in anything 17. Blamey: It’s almost pitiable how bad he is 18. Halsey: Navy general 19. Riccardi: Navy general 20. Horthy: Not good in anything 21. Dumitrescu: Not good in anything 22. De Gaulle: Just as bad as in WC3

1. Seishiro: 3 stars in tank
2. Liang: 4(!) stars in infantry
3. Greim: 3 stars in airforce and 2 stars in artillery
4. Dowding: 5 stars in airforce in WC3, yet 3 stars in airforce in GoG
5. Novikov: 44 medals cheaper than Greim, but 1 star less in artillery.

1. Dietrich: 3 stars in artillery for merely 612 medals
2. Araki: 3 stars in infantry
3. Eaker: 3 stars in air
And that were all the generals of GoG (Original version)
