I barely even reached the 2nd and 3rd cities as the full American force came in and slaughtered the invading HRE force. Is there anyone in the community that has a successful strategy in beating it?

My path of advance when I did john vi. After taking the city Gates is in, Jackson will attack. I killed him with my generals first and used cheap militia to defend from other units. My main force of generals follow the path of advance I marked

It is also very important in this mission to exploit a picularity with which AI usually defends its cities. If units (controlled by AI) have less than half of HPs, almost certainly AI will replace them with new ones. If, on the other hand, unit is damaged (but not severely), there is a probability that this unit inside the city will attack you instead of being replaced. It is an excellent opportunity to take the city the next turn. So I think it is reasonable to use this "peculiarity" properly while planning your attack...

Go for city III first. This prevents the enemy from spamming units and attacking your allies. Use john and your other rocket to damage the city, and use your cavalry general to also attack the city. Use your infantry general to attack dearborn. Main objective is to secure City III first, so either rush it down or being a bit safer is up to you. After capturing city 3, build a university there so you'd be slowly gaining more knowledge per turn. You can either separate your units, or have all your units go towards the city north and send 1 or 2 units to capture the city to the right is up to you. Start spamming militia at city III, and position your units near the northern city. Siege the city, then capture it( unfortunately, my Mahmud II died. He was pretty weak, so it's not that bad). Washington should start heading south to attempt in recapturing the city there. Just alternate in building militias and grenadiers, while sending them to the last city objective. Doesn't matter if they're healthy or not, since they would be useful as meatshields or cannon fodder. Also, just keep researching blast, and use it every turn on the last city objective. Managed to finish it at turn 20, but initially was able to finish it much sooner at around turn 16( played a lot more recklessly but it worked). Generals i used were Karl, Murat and Mahmud II: Karl or Murat should be enough. Some tech for hp and defense for light infantry and some tech for cavalry should be enough.

This mission is difficult because the U.S. plays before your allies. I will wait until I have a well-upgraded Massena to clear this mission.
