I would like to open this thread in order to bring back some pleasant memories. One cartoon I've grown with was "Hungarian Folk Tales" (Povesti din folclorul maghiar). It is originally a cartoon made a few decades ago by our Hungarian neighbours, and was brought on our (Romanian) television in the early 2000s. Just a week ago, after a random search on YouTube, I had the luck to get over it. Initially, I found 40 of the episodes that got translated in my language. After that, I found another set of 100 episodes in English, which was quite pleasant. If if now I'm almost 17 and in my childhood I was a great enemy of the fairy tales, I still enjoy watching them, and I like to make comparisons between Romanian and Hungarian story themes and motifs, which I find veyv similar in many places (probably do the geographical and cultural area we live). The episode shown below is one of my favourite:
What other cartoons did you enjoy watching when you were young?

When I was young I would watch PBS kids quite a bit and I remember a show called Sagwa: The Chinese Siamese cat being one of my favorites. It was about a family of cats living in late 19th century China.

I watched and liked spongebob too Also the old cartoon Snow White (Russian subbed) Same for me. When I was younger, the main cartoon channels I used to watch were Cartoon Network and Jetix. Leter, after they replaced Jetix with Disney Channel Romania, I used to watch their programmes too, but I was mostly attracted by the cartoons, not the sitcoms which started to accupy more and more run time). Now, I kinda lost that attraction to cartoons in general due to some recent ones that bored me and maybe the fact I grew up. But I still enjoy the ones I got when I grew up, and I'd watch them again. Sidenote: another problem with the cartoons broadcasted in Romania is that you get them like many months after their original release, the dubbing makes you lose funny jokes or refferences and sometimes they just butcher entire seasons. A good example from the last couple of years is with Star Wars Rebels. They broadcasted the first season at a reasonable hour - 9:30 am in the morning every Saturday. Then suddenly, the moved the second season at 11:30 pm on Sunday and at 6:30 am on Saturday, while they got only half of the season. After that, we heard nothing of that show in our country. Other shows, like Yander Over Wounder, dud not even get the chance to get in our country, thus I heard of it only a couple of days ago when I was watching some cartoon reviews on Youtube (thank God I'm watching Youtube, otherwise I would not have heard of the newer stuff or I would have totally forgot if the good old ones)

Makes you think about your life strangely enough

Even the two-headed king from the video thumbnail is kind of a refference to the Austro-Hungarian Dual Monarchy. The catoon also featured a regiment of Hungarian Honved (Landwehr) soldiers, while the "neighbouring king's" army (my recent two photos) looks strikingly similar to the Romanian infantry uniform from the Second Balkan War-early WW1
