Getting Massena then Karl would be the best path for one is just starting or restarting😁😁 Not immediately. I recommend Murat > Massena > Mahmud/Alexander > Karl > Lan/Ney/Dabrowski > Artillery Gen #2 That's a huge order to fill. Did I not say beginners? |

He is extremely strong when well-upgraded and can get you super far in the game with him and the free gens alone. |

 With him and the free gens I’ve 3-starred Declaration of Independence, Dominion of Canada, French Revolutionary War and almost the whole of French Eagle, going to do the final mission. He made hard levels such as Battle of Upper Canada and Russian Campaign much easier to complete.  Only Murat is upgraded, all of the other generals are like their default version. |

All of that without IAP. Auto-Netherlands 1798 Conquest also played a key role in getting and upgrading Murat.

You will need the navy generals to 3-star the navy Crimean War missions. |

Murat also helped me get medals by completing Bagration's discount missions until Bagration V.

In fact, fellow field marshal, I would do this
Beat French Campaign (doesn’t have to be all 3 stars) > Upgrade Tech > Beat Russian Campaign > Upgrade Tech > Get Massena > Upgrade Massena > Beat British Campaign > ...
Once you beat the british campaign, you get access to the german tech, which is the best in the game. It will make completing everything else easier.

Pretty decent, but nothing to crazy special about washington. Lannes isn’t much worse for 40% of the price, massena and karl are leagues better, and to top it off, barclay is also great. To noobs thinking of buying him... don’t.
