That's a huge order to fill. Did I not say beginners? Maybe. You do get 740 medals at the very start though Plus you can farm Netherlands 1798, and with a great general, you can beat most campaigns and get a huge amount of medals.

I liked the strategy of upgrading gates and falsen to 35% hp, then giving all the free generals except clinton healing items. Got me really far really quickly into the game

Got me really far really quickly into the game As long as it’s a valid strategy, it’s fine. I like EW6 a lot because you have various paths you can take.

But honestly, a very strong general, can hit hard, and when fully maxed has great stats, I actually recently got him. After I finished maxing out Wilhelm III, I sold him for washington Why do you always choose the generals with the coolest names?

Washington’s Alert isn’t that bad. It can help him survive against Rocket Artillery. If the skill is maxed and he is on an Old Guard, he only takes half of the damage. It makes him painful to sink if you’re using him on a ship, as his high battle ability ensures that he deals considerable damage. If his title is Emperor, even more. That, without counting that he can have 40% defense, and Marshal rank would give him 500+ HP. He’s overall a great non-aura Infantry general. He’s not a must-have, but I believe that whoever buys him will like him.

SolidLight , what are your thoughts on Washington? Washington is pretty much Bismarck except he can't siege as well as Bismarck can. His combat capabilities are pretty respectable, but he has no utility, well, apart from being good at Navy when you need him to be, but Bismarck can do that too. So yeah, I'd rather just save up some 400 more medals and get Bismarck. I only need Karl for super infantry combat stats, so Washington doesn't really get a spot on my team.

I like Washington, but he can’t siege as well. I'm not kidding, you’re almost convincing me of selling Massena for Bismarck just because he can siege better. But I think that Massena's Aura is too good to waste.

I’m not dropping my Auras. I have seen some non-auras doing damage and it wasn’t impressive.

Fun fact: I didn't even want to be a general in the game, but they decided to put me in anyway.

Kinda worse than Bismarck because he now has Formation Master instead of Tunnel (Formation Master is a debatably useless skill, and Tunnel here is miles better than it is in the sequel because every country has Grenadiers). But since Bismarck is awesome, that means Washington is at least very good.

Eh I mean considering you will be using machine gunners late in the game, washington is a pretty good alternative to bismarck. Formation master will lead to powerful crits once in a while.
