As someone going through the 3 most recent entries, I would rate WC4 the hardest, and EW6 the easiest so far.

Moderately easy. I got to Eastern Empire 2 with only Drusus, Pacorus I and cav oriented commander.
Now, Pompey is going to join me and he is obtained purely from medals earned on a 1* clear for the 1st Expedition, campaign clears and other easy medal achievements (excluding anything related to Conquest).

I only play GCR now as practice,it is fun as it is now,but will improve when the update Is released.

It is hard.
This for being the fact,you cannot farm for medals.
Yeah,you can get tons of gold,but no good items.
So anyone saying it is easy is just lying,to themselves and others imo.

I said it is easy and it is definitely true. We simply don't need farm for medals in GCR. There are 3338 medals in the game itself (plus there will be more after updates). Daily missions are simply a nice addition to this sum of medals. The price of a good general is 500-600 medals. Plus we have some free scrolls for upgrading our generals (I fully upgraded a quite expensive "Infantry Commander" of Pompey for free, and almost fully upgraded the same skill of Labienus - only 2 scrolls are left). We need only a patience and a good plan how to collect all these available medals and scrolls. Besides, the question was - how difficult is GCR to you. So, all general conclusions are misplaced. The game is either difficult to YOU, or easy to YOU, without any further generalisation... |

If they are answering the question exactly how it was worded which is asking them to compare it to other easytech games then that is just a matter of personal opinion. If they are saying its an easy game in general, then yes they are just plain lying. That or they don't have much experience with gaming and don't know any better. Before this update I perfect cleared the final three missions on my first attempt (pompey side not Caesar, I struggled with a few Caesar), something I know for a fact a lot of others did not do because they made posts about it. Yet looking at these votes its safe to assume some of those same people claim the game is easy, while I will admit it takes effort, unlike games that are actually easy. The randomness of the game (fog of war, crits, skill procs, random enemy targeting) alone will disqualify the game as being easy, because there can be times no matter what you do things just will not go your way due to random occurrences. Its artificial difficulty, but difficulty nonetheless. So as far as general game difficulty goes this cannot be considered easy unless your only point of reference are games like dark souls or xcom 2 iron man mode or other games that are actually hard. If you have been around the block as a gamer then you know what an easy game is, things like terminator salvation or every “walking simulator” game ever made lol. |

Lucius VorenusI forgot to mention "fog of war" and how city development has been split up to differnt sectors,where it is no longer just a 1 step process anymore,it's very confusing, this slows down gameplay,lots of micromangment now and shouldn't be considered easy,not at all. I can hardly imagine a new player to ET games will even get it.
