I’m buying Ivanov over Hindenburg for that challenge where you can’t deploy generals who have a title higher than Count. That’s bad for me all my general title is prince.

Ivanov is very good (though not as good as Hötzendorf) His inspiration and tactics master work very well together. Salvo and Arty Expert buffs raw damage so thats great His only flaw is Mountain Fighting which is an okay skill (He is still good though)

hmm Ivanov seems to be second to Hotzendorf, with Hindenburg and Leopold tying at third place. Most members favor Ivanov over the other two

Mountains are far more common in EW1914 than in previous games. Especially in campaigns and challenges. Even on the plains the difference between them is not that significant.

Yes mountains are more common but mountains still sucks to run through. I suspect the movement cost is higher than 6 because I can’t run through two mountains with a 12 mov Krupp Cannon. It’s slightly better than in 1806 because the difference between cavalry movement and artillery movement is smaller in this game, so you’re less likely to have your artillery lag behind.

Don't forget we are speaking about campaigns and challenges... Maps are usually small there, so movement is seldom an issue. Now I am completing French campaign and almost in half of the missions we have to attack/defend mountainous terrain. I have both Hotzendorf and Ivanov and I am glad they don't share the same terrain bonus.

Well, now that ET has confirmed that the textbooks are for resetting skills, we will now be able to give Ivanov the absolute best artillery skills in the game.

stoic, Nice. I also put Pierce on him and I think it works pretty great. Does Dogfight work well for an artillery general? I was thinking about putting it on a new general after the next update, but not sold on it.
