So Pierce and Dogfight, in artillery's case, are better than Plain Fighting and Storm Fortifications? Or is it interchangeable? I really like Dogfight. It is such a help in many situations. I may even consider to give it to my third Artillery general as well. And since my second and third Artillery generals have plain fighting I decided that my first Artillery general should be less terrain dependent. When Pierce triggers it is more or less equal to bonuses from Plain fighting, and judging that Ivanov attacks from any possible terrain, it substitutes it to a certain extent. I like when my team members work in synergy with each other, thus I am willing to sacrifice a rough damage to interesting tactical possibilities. So, my Ivanov is weaker than he could be, but as a team member he is far more better than a pure damage dealing Artillery general. If I can use only one Artillery general it will be Ivanov, and he is a MVP in most situations. I really do agree to the ' sacrifice a rough damage to interesting tactical possibilities.' At least, if all of the generals are reskilled to be 'the best', then all of them would turn out to be identical clones and that is boring. So I am also thinking about what kind of 'role' I can assign to my Ivanov, as well as other generals.

I've made my Ivanov into the debuffing general with Salvo, Artillery Expert, Tactic Master, Deterrence, and Suppress. Not sure if the two debuffing abilities stack but he's really helps my other generals take out a strong unit.

Since he is made to be a generalist, why not keep him that way? Assault and Intercept for general damage, PF for a bonus, Tactics Master for double the fun and Pierce to allow him to dish out even more damage. Every time I put him on a Heavy Machine Gunner, he wreaks havoc. The only sure way of stopping him is swarming with strong units like New Infantry. Even then, he manages to put up a good fight.

Sometimes, instead of making a general better with changing skills to a good skills, they can do the same or worse.

Anyways, dogfight is useful to lock a garrison in a city, thatโs good for them to not spam gens.

Adding insult to injury... Poor Mackensen... But damn, Dogfight really did go from one of the worst skills *looking at you Luigi Cardona* to one of the most useful ones out there.

Since it seems we arenโt getting Beseler in the next update, I will get Ivanov as the โNew artillery generalโ instead.
