Do you think buying textbooks is convenient or better saving medals for generals? I have a little problem with farming gold also ... what can you suggest to help this "poor eating banana Maduro" (my profile pic) ? I never did a purchase. No need to buy books, you can farm books by playing autro Prussian War( refer to Harry Bing's guide on Austro Prussian War History Mode ). Saving medals is good but don't be insane and keep them unused. Getting the best, cost efficient generals is always better. Cavalry : Jackson and Moltke is enough, you can consider investing in Plumer or Sidney for Endgame.( McClellan is only useful for History Mode so don't bother him ). Ivanov, Beseler, Hindenburg is the best artillery you can get. Beseler may change PF for JF and Ivanov will change Inspiration foraura(offense). Hindenburg will have to change land fort for JF but alert can be useful or useless. Average ( He is good keeping the army from high damage by his defensive aura but the aura works significantly only on armored car and breastplate Cavalry. It slightly affects infantry as they got low defence, never bother, change it for Expert or other useful skill). Infantry in this game is not Useful but majority is infantry. Investing in Commander aura is good. Straubenburg is my choice. Robert Lee is too expensive for efficiency so only for Endgame. Mac Arthur is great as he has got a amazing build and he is useful in History Mode Cuban War ( Not a Endgame choice but worthy ). Navy is not worthy on working much. You can go with Hipper. If you feel having too much medals and in need of more Navy, you can get Beatty but Looff and Faragut are still good in their role. So the conclusion is to have the best, cost efficient generals so you will not feel helpless when resources are low. Happy Gaming. |

if you are really desperate, try marking a limit at around 1000-1500 medals, and then whatever that is additional can be used for such shop purchases.

this is only applicable after you have gotten your main general roster set up though, before that concentrate all efforts into grinding medals for them

In my opinion the silver medals are more stressful to get than the textbooks. |
