he's a colonel at most, thus he's unlikely to be featured if others like Mad Jack dont exist in other games Then why does MacArthur gets to be in here he's just a Brigadier General Because he gets famous later, but also fought in WW1

Where is George McClellan? Yeah where is McClellan, usually only the useless generals get left out in threads like this. But McClellan is the best Calv (If you don't have Ludendorff of course)

Is there any use of equipping the eagle flag or any critical hit items? I feel like attack or defence is more important anyways.

Best Generals imo (no IAP) Best Inf: 1. Douglas MacArthur (Assault, Aura, Plain and Tactics Master, 4 Great Skills) 2. Kliment Boyadzhiev (Assault, Intercept, Aura and Jungle, 4 Great skills) 3. Douglas 'Butcher' Haig (Assault and Plain are great, but for a gold general, 2 great skills only aren't good enough) 4. Svetozar Boroević von Bojna (Tactics Master, Jungle and Mountain, Mountain is only a mediocre skill on it's own, but with Jungle it's pretty strong) 5. Nikola T. Zhekov (Assault, Intercept and Plain, Basically Lannes without Tunnel, but tunnel isn't great in this game anyway)
Best Calv: 1. George B. McClellan (Strike, Edge, Calv Commander and Plain, the evolved version of Dabrowski) 2. Albert Sidney Johnson (Stike, Edge and Tactics Master are all great skills, Counter A. is also useful, the evolved version of Davout) 3. T. J. 'Stonewall' Jackson (Edge, Jungle and Tactics Master, lacks strike though, but who cares if he doesn't have strike when he's Free?! ) 4. Viktor Dankl von Krasnik (Strike, Calv Commander and Jungle, a McClellan lite, a bit underrated really) 5. Alexandru Averescu (Strike, Tactics Master and Inspiration, a Johnson lite)
Best Arty: 1. Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf (Salvo, Storm Forts, Tactics Master and Plain, all top tier skills. He's trash in rl but OP in this game) 2. Nikolai Ivanov (Salvo, Arty Expert, Tactics Master, Inspiration and Mountain, Mountain and Inspiration are mediocre, but his other skills compensate that) 3. Paul von Hindenburg (Salvo, Storm Forts for attack, Alert and Def. Formation for Defence, a defensive arty general can be useful, he can support your units that takes a lot of hits) 4. Prinz Leopold von Bayern (Salvo and Plain are great skills, Counter A. is ok and the others are just mediocre, an evolved Kutuzov) 5. Vladimir Vazov (Salvo, Suppress and Jungle are good skills, Suppress is a good supportive skill, use him to weaken your enemies and let the strong generals finish the job)
Navy: David Beatty and the free ones are enough really

Maybe also Reinhard Scheer Cool that you’re now Sweaty Tsar Boroevic . I've decided that Mr. Sweaty Tsar should get more praise than Schlieffen. Let Boroevic return to Croatia

Back to the topic of generals, should we add the non-purchasable generals that we see in campaigns and conquest? We did that in EW6 1804. I would like to see people discussing about Archibald Paris' Deterrence skill and Benedek's Overpowered Skills and stats.

I would like to see people discussing about Archibald Paris' Deterrence skill and Benedek's Overpowered Skills and stats. First, we are uncertain on where we see them. Second, if we add ALL or MANY of them, we will have a total of 200-300 generals. The page will get many loads for this. in the game files, i have seen 297 generals, in total.

Have you ever seen the EW6 1804 General Page? They have 183 Generals! They managed to find most of them even though some doesn't have threads

With ET confirming that the textbooks are indeed for resetting the skills of the generals, I can't wait to give all non-Marquess generals with 5 skills the best skills!
