Burnside is actually quite helpful for History Mode... if you have max tech and max him. But he costs coins. Meade, Sheridan, Grant and McClellan. Too many to use together with the free provided gens... I wish I had mccellan. I am stuck with sheridan with jungle fighting.

McClellan is a great general to have ironically. Just put him in the worst situations possible and watch him suffer like in real life.

I did not lose, I merely failed to win A oversimplified way of saying 'I killed a lot of them, but I was still overwhelmed because you, the not-graduated-from-an-academy Lincoln, pulled back my reinforcements to fight Stonewall Jackson. I mean I successfully retreated! I merely failed to win because of you, Honest Abbe.' quoted from McClellan, probably.

Replacing Cover and Counterattack with Mountain Fighting and Tactics Master will make him as good as Boroevic. If you have bought Petain (Who allows you to use a maximum of 10 generals), buying Macmahon and Johnston is a good idea since they can be as good as the best generals of their class.

Macmahon will be a second straussenberg after counterattack is swapped for mountain.

Particularly enjoyed the latest about the American Civil War as it coincides with ET's ew6:1914 release too

Actually I do agree. Robert E Lee can be made pretty good, but he will not be useful in history mode. Maria and Macmahon can be just as good or even better than Robert and are useful in history mode. Haig is unneeded as we already have Nicholas I, who is haig minus ambush. But since there are very few amazing austrian generals for history mode (only Borevic, Krasnik, and Straussenberg), Borevic seems to be a really good buy.

Every Austrian general for purchase is good (Except for Archduke Eugen)

Hotzendorf got me nearly to end game.Original skillset.Tho he's no longer as glorious he used to be He used to be great before textbooks came out and the terrain mobility bonus. Now he is meh. Its his 4 skill slots that hurt him. I’d rather have radko dimitriev tbh
