I find Zhukov very nice. He have artillery barrage wich is in me opiniom the best arty skill. When health of the artillery units falls down 50 ...a field artillery have only 70, it's even better than tide of iron because tanks have much more health. He may don't have artillery leader but he can work as infantry as well. It helps a lot in some challenge when you have only 1 arty..ypu can put govorov for example in the arty and use zhukov in an inf unit. Anyways i find Manstein the best of all them. Eisenhower is probably the best air generals in the game but im not sure if 20$ worth it

Sounds fun; here's my take on Manstein: Marshal Erich von MansteinErich von Manstein was a Prussian-born military officer, noted for his accomplishments while having served in the Wehrmacht during World War II. Beginning with his first and perhaps most notable accomplishment, in which he drew up the plans that would eventually become Fall Gelb, the essential first protoype in what would become modern maneuvre warfare, he eventually spent the rest of his career as a field general, fighting against the Soviets in victories such as Fall Barbarossa, the Siege of Sevastopool, as well as the Third Battle of Kharkov, although also suffering his share of defeats as the war dragged on and the tides turned against Germany. Manstein was eventually relieved from his duties due to his disagreements with Hitler in the spring of 1944. After the war, he was held on trial and sentenced for 18 years by the Allies for war crimes*, and after writing the bestseller "Lost Victories" in 1955, passed away in 1973 at the age of 85. *This sentence was not fully served as he was released after 4 years due to health complcations. After ww2, when the cold war started he was recruited be the german-NATO governement in order to reorganize the west europe defense against a soviet invasion

Von Manstein was the best, although I'd rate Rundstedt and Guderian on the same level, Zhukov only had manpower and Eisenhower never realy fought as much as Manstein or Zhukov, I hate what they did with Kluge and Paulus two of the best German commanders and they're the worst in the game... Meh, they're certainly not the best German commanders, by far. I, as modern historian, don't think they achieved a lot. Manstein rated Paulus as "competent, but not aggressive". Even so, I understand what you mean, I liked his GoG version better.

Yes, I play Easytech for a looong time now. When I studied at universities, some friends of me recommended Glory of Generals and I have been playing it a lot. And yes, I am a historian. Before that, I worked for the West-German army (which explains my skills with any military games (without using hacks ) and became interested in Eastern-European history, the Napoleonic wars and First and Second World War.
