We had our schools closed when the second Corona patient was identified( first one came long before from China and she was cured). Shortly government declared national holidays for a 3 days. People went trips and started to gather in places like hotels, beaches and other famous places so government imposed curfew . Our school is still a headache because teachers give papers every week and we have to do them and send them.

My country is Sri Lanka. We are a country which is famous for hospitality, spices and cultural heritage. I must accept that we are not a economically powerful country and we are in the satge of Developing Country. However we were the first country to reach above 95℅ literacy rate in Asia because of our Free education policy from elementary school to university. We also have a Free health policy which helps our population greatly. Our country also have a good infrastructure and we are a bio diverse hotspot in the world. My country also supported by world powers financially. We also get medicinal drinks like Ginger, Belimal, Ranawara, Polpala etc and add spices like turmeric, coriander, chilli, cinnamon, cumen etc which helps for a healthy body. So I think my country have a good chance against Corona Pandemic.

My state governor's done a top job despite being a thorn in the side of Donald Trump (btw it seems no one has confidence in him; his ratings haven't spiked like FDR's (WW2), Reagan's (Challenger Accident), or Bush's (11 September 2001)).
We've managed to get the number of cases increasing at a decreasing rate, which most of the country can't claim to be doing. Mid-southern states seem to be totally lax about it, with only their mayors doing stuff and the governors seemingly not caring enough. I'm super proud to be a Washingtonian Cascadian, even if no one in the national stage gives one about Washington itself (We've done this without national government intervention, too!)
New York's celebrity Governor (he's become a face for the public) Andrew Cuomo's managing to decrease the rate of which the cases are increasing, but I reckon it's just a question of tiiiiiiiiimmmmmmmeeeeee (Dave Gahan, go away!) before the healthcare system breaks and the cases skyrocket or NY is put under a state quarantine (which would be political suicide).
California is being California and despite their quite severe measures are still having cases increase at an increasing rate. (You can tell I'm quite bitter about California being the political powerhouse of the West and Washington and Oregon being in its shadow)
Florida is concerning. The youth are rebelling and still trying to hang out because they think they're invincible. For f***'s sake, I'm younger (and theoretically dumber; although I do love education because it's like a drug) and I'm staying home in a less dense area!

If they are able to keep the people away from each other and able to protect their medical workers from the virus, your country will be fine. If not, expect to have to deal with a quarantine.

When it comes to lgu’s (local gov’t units), our street captains (the one who governs some streets etc), some are corrupt even in this crisis, they even take some money being given by the national gov’t that is for the people. Even some of the people here arent obeying the protocols given by the government for their safety. And also, one of our senators disobeyed the quarantine protocol and even came to some places when he is still a person under investigation.

But that will also mean that the intection will spread quicker. So really, their selfishness and stupidity is making them feel good while absolutely ruining the situation for everyone else.

the us is really a disaster, I even start to have doubts whether it can remain less than 1 million patients. A positive thing is that the epidemic in Italy seems to be over today, there were only 200 hospital admissions and 15 ic admissions.
but in the end no one escapes even the German economy will shrink by 20% according to current estimates, while the Germans have the most IC beds in all of Europe (so much so that they also help patients from my home country)

The entire US is a disaster completely due to bureaucracy.

The entire US is a disaster completely due to bureaucracy. Agreed. U.S has been a declining country like russia after the cold war. This is due to mainly to outsourcing.

We've ditched the basics, which causes us to depend on others for our economic strength. The country is losing money because there's more imports and less exports.
