1. DO i need to download anything for the coding (except MT Manager)? (like do i need to download java code or other)
2. where do i put the code.
3. What kind of coding does wc4/easytech use

In EW4 the batttle files (.btl) are binary files. If we want to mod them, we use a HEX-editor. |

I strongly recommend NMM. The included HEX-Editor is now really good and the whole NMM suite is <10MB and 100% free without Ads or tracker. One of the best tools for android, very similar to MT. 1) xgimp is a painting programm. Sadly the android version is messed up. I was so happy for the recommendation of captainstryker: the website www.photopea.com/ is a full featured paint-programm inside your browser without any installation. 2) You should read an intoduction into XML (or HTML) to understand the syntax-basics (Just the syntax, lesson 1). 3) After making one change to the APK, MT will ask you, if you want to autosign the APK. 4) I have not seen any modificable code in a game. If you want to edit the Java wrapper, you need first to decompile the java code (Idkh) - the game itself is written in C I assume. |

There's a btl guide that I strongly recommend that's going to be very helpful to you: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/9609/wc4-btl-guide The way I do hex editing is to upload files to my laptop, and then use hexed.it, which is a really good website in my opinion.
2. If a file ends in .xml it either contains a bunch of image files, or it's an image file 3. I'm not familiar with MT manager but I assume that it'll sign the apk for you automatically 4. You need to know how to hex-edit, but the java files are JSON coded and you don't need any coding experience to edit those files. |
