OK but like that's ... not what we're discussing lol. But if you had to pick between these four everyone would pick Mannerheim. If they had the medals. No, I wouldn't. The reason is because Mannerheim lacks a defensive skill and he only have one empty slot, so you can only choose between rumor or guerrilla. My only choices for infantry are Yamashita, Rundstedt, and MacArthur. From those three I choose Rundstedt because of the guerrilla and two skill slots. He also has 5 potential air force. And I plan to give him rumor and raider, those would make him a proper infantry general. Yes you wouldn't but we will, since we can clearly see the superior benefits of having Mannerheim, a proper, and indeed capable infantry general

Also enterchment goes great with his fort healing.

Also enterchment goes great with his fort healing. I put Infantry Leader on mine for a bit of extra damage to go with Raider and 6 stars of Infantry, but Explosives appears to be good for Infantry (specifically Mechanized), and despite massively shitting on it here due to it being at such a low level, Replacement could work if you're planning to make him more defensive.

Give Yamashita jungle fighting and he'll be Mannerheim + bayonet charge + ace forces + mobility.

No, because I don't want a reckless infantry who only amuses me with high damages but doesn't survive more than 5 rounds. Firstly I don't like terrain infantry, infantries must be able to fight anywhere, because they are made specifically to fight on mountains, jungles, or dessert without any terrain penalties and there are mountain and dessert commandos as well. Secondly, the guerrilla is very important because enemy units are also stationed inside cities so you wouldn't want your infantry to die within a few turns after destroying the fort. Thirdly, Rundstedt is faster than Mannerheim and he can have 5 stars on air force when upgraded. I even put Rundstedt slightly above Yamashita because of his air force.

Infantry will die pretty fast no matter what if put in a dangerous position whether it has guerilla or not. So I consider damage more important for infantry. Doing insane damage and moving along. Plus I would waste tons of medals on Rundstedt to make him good. Therefore Yamashita>Mannerheim>Rundstedt

Show me how rundstedt can survive more than 3 rounds (in order to confuse) against an enemy tank gen. Since there is no use in avoiding the fact that infantry are fragile, players should look to their offensive capabilities instead of considering defensive inf (which is EXACTLY what ET wanted rundstedt to do with his skills)

Its already a risk getting inf gens since they are not crucial for the game; why make a mistake?

Rundstedt is already very cheap. But by only 300 medals. lastly, to visualise this I can earn 300 medals in 3-4 days from tasks and daily invasions only. And players getting inf gens will likely have reached endgame to consider this option/luxury, so their invasion medal rewards shld be the same as mine.

Since there is no use in avoiding the fact that infantry are fragile, players should look to their offensive capabilities instead of considering defensive inf (which is EXACTLY what ET wanted rundstedt to do with his skills) Most of the damage taken are usually through counter-attacks. I know even Rundstedt is fragile, but since he has guerrilla he wouldn't get counter-attacked often and you can use him to paralize a tank general that's already bogged down twice in morale. And even after his health decrease until bellow 50%, he can go to cities to recover while giving air supports and even deal some extra damages against enemy paratroopers. That's why I choose Rundstedt oven Yamashita, because after his health is bogged down, he will most likely stay in a city until he recover some health while giving air supports. Yamashita can't give a proper air support and since Rundstedt would be on cities after his health is bogged down, his street fighting would pretty much function like Yamashita's bayonet charge. Most cities are guarded by ground units, so his guerrilla plays some role and it gives Rundstedt the ability to inject rumors without getting counter-attacked.

Eh but I don't players are willing to buy Rundstedt's air stars cuz it costs so much to add air force stars. That's why air generals are bought.
