I personally like army group mode until you’ve obliterated the front you’re responsible for. Getting to an enemy on the other side is waaaay too clunky and your ally AI is totally inept and there’s not too much you can do since donations are basically worthless from what I can tell. 1941 seems to flow way better than 1939 since it’s mostly a 1 front war and whether or not Yugoslavia survives depends mostly on how well you can pressure USSR, plus there doesn’t seem to be any sort of stupidity like Germany never ever taking Copenhagen. Not only Germany doesn't take Copenhagen, they surround it, so that you can't as well. Very smart xD As of Yugoslavia, imo it tends to do poorly in 1939, but goes on a massacre in 1941. They killed singlehandedly Romania and Bulgaria, took all of the Hungary except Cluj-Napoca and took all cities from Slovakia. Maybe a one time output. Subsiding your enemies' wars actually helps. When I had started giving two german armies around 70-100 coins a day, they took the entire France in about 10 turns and Britain in 8 (It was a stalemate before next to the Reims in the North and Nice in the south.)

Any help for 1939 3*?
I played Italian East Army Group thrice. I successfully defeat the Yugoslavian 1st Army Group, but I get overrun by the Yugoslavian 2nd Army Group and my allies tend to start failing in France by turn 10.
I'm playing Yugoslavia 2nd Army Group now. I successfully crushed Bulgaria and Romania rather swiftly. Hungary fell next and Slovakia is almost going to collapse. The expected collapse of my Yugoslav ally opened up the Adriatic for the Italians to cross and German Army Group D to invade. German Army Group C is almost going to collapse as well, but the Italian Eastern Army Group and Army Group A are overrunning my positions in Slovakia and Hungary. France is gone, Britain is making a last stand in Scotland against German Army Group B, Polish 1st Army Group is unwilling to assist against Slovakia and Polish 2nd Army Group is unwilling to blitz through Group D.

Have you tried german group B? They are in an excellent position to quickly take out northern and center france, britain, belgium, netherlands, and denmark plus since the eastern front favors the axis you won't need to worry about them

A is shielded from the British, unless the plan is to earn the Special Units of the Dutch and Belgians, if any.

Yes A is safer and much easier than B but if your goal is for speed and for a high score I'd say B is better albeit MUCH harder

Bulgary is quite easy on 1939 (but not fast) German group D isn't hard either Denmark is VERY easy to snowball, but the beginning is a bit challenging

I've been attacked a few times and I could control my troops. How? If that is the case, it would improve the quality of life in this mode by a lot. If you skip your turn, or I guess the enemy turn, then you cannot control defense. It makes you watch the turns. Which is slowly growing on me. It feels very much more immersive than small battles with only your plan considered. Anyways. Yes guys we can defend we just have to watch enemy turns. Although you can only retreat when attacking. Defenders hold til 5 turns or defeat. Also imo a nice feature. 5 turns means not every battle is decisive over territory, but a stack of artillery could lay out next to an army of infantry weakening the enemy for them. I've been destroyed with a max army by a few smaller ones.

Guys, is it possible to build a port? I don't see any option but ports are built by AI from time to time if I am not mistaken...

From my knowledge there is no way to build new structures like factories and ports but there is a way to upgrade them to produce more advanced units in the tech tab such as air base(air), aircraft carrier base (port) ,heavy plant(factory),and laboratory (cities)

I end up with 163 tiles and 300 kills. Group B was much easier for me.

Has anyone been able to unlock the 1942 army group mode? I have completed the 1942 allied campaign and I'm halfway through the axis one but there is still no army mode. Is it possible that it is yet to be released?
