Can't say I am a fan of this mode, easy and tedious, although the campaign has been phenomenal, big fights and and an interesting recruitment system.

IMO, the key to choosing the best states are to pick states that either always collapse, but possess a good position OR almost wins on key fronts, bit fail to finish the job well.
1939: German Army Group D belongs to the latter. It is always close to finishing off the 1st Polish Army Group, but falters at the last few steps.
Same goes for the 2nd Yugoslav Army Group. Playing it enables swift occupation of the Balkans which is key to the Eastern Front.

This is why west italy is so powerful when under the players control they can cripple the french in a mere 5 turns and with their economy they can support their eastern friends and storm uk along with the germans who have easily finished off the weaken french

Has anyone been able to unlock the 1942 army group mode? I have completed the 1942 allied campaign and I'm halfway through the axis one but there is still no army mode. Is it possible that it is yet to be released? Easytech will add new maps in the first update.

Really I don’t see any problem the rivers and mountains They are according to the terrain and geographical position (if you fight in the alps, what did you expect bro) and the five turns are sufficient to take all and if you are defending does mountains and rivers can help against the outnumbered

Sometimes I just want to hold the ground and those mountain passes are great for delaying AI.
