I see that but being able to hit at extra length is just so useful in defensive positions. Great against destroyers too (especially at height). I've just really started to appreciate Karl and Katyusha together. It's devastating. But that doesn't happen often. Haha...fair, though I do pair them a lot in UF. |

I've grown to love the Karl in tandem with the Katyusha, especially in United Front. I plugged away and upgraded the Elefant first because I preferred the extra mobility. The Karl though excels in defensive battles. That extra square and range is so, so useful. Karl and Leeb is a great combo on Fortress Plan in Western Front. Elefant is like a machine gun though. Imagine with me if you will, as a thought experiment, that we put Govorov on the M12 instead of the Katyusha. It would gain 15 HP, 2 Dmg, and 1 def, and lose one move. The Burn ability of the Katyusha is negligible, so it is the AOE versus a 50% crit rate when not moved and being on plains easier (a sore weakness of Govorov). Would that make the M12 better? Or would the amazing AOE of the Katyusha still reign Supreme.
