That's what I am trying to think. Does the better skill outweigh the worse stats, less skills? Maybe not because the stats are really weak and splash damage weakens multiples enemies.

That's what I am trying to think. Does the better skill outweigh the worse stats, less skills? Think that in terms of overall output the 2 extra damage and increased stationary crit rate is less than the splash damage. Besides, I move my howitzers a lot, so the extra crit rate remains useless.

Can I just ask why on Earth the Maresal is a heavy artillery?! That thing is like a prototype baby tank destroyer, it's tiny! It's smaller than all of the regular artillery special forces and has only a 75 mm anti-tank gun as its main gun (you know, the same kind of gun as on a Sherman, Panzer IV or Panther tank). In what world does that count as heavy artillery??? The Sexton, M7 Priest and Sturmtiger make much more sense being heavy artillery than the Maresal. Even if we consider the 122 mm gun that they originally wanted to mount on the Maresal (but then they decided not to), a tiny tank destroyer with a 122 mm gun still makes no sense being a long range heavy artillery special force. Especially when you look at the much larger, heavier Sturmtiger with its huge 380 mm rocket launching mortar gun which was literally used as heavy artillery, yet in GoG3 it is just a regular artillery special force, whereas the Maresal is a tank destroyer like the SU-76M. I don't think the Maresal could even fire upwards enough like a typical heavy artillery. I think the Maresal and Sturmtiger should swap places.
