I seem to be struggling with this one. Any tips? Simple use the airport at the island you took with your land units to spam torpedos and inflict chaos into the enemy navy gens and capture taranto with paratroopers

Convert your inf into paratroopers and drop them onto the eastern island as well to meet the 2nd bonus objective. Remember to keep at least 1 inf unit on the coastal arty. It's quite beneficial for attacking the two Italian Admirals.
Don't forget that the admiral on the western island is on a tile right next to the coastal land tiles. You can hit him with your ground troops.

It was tough, but I bet it. Didn't go for secondary objectives. But at least I can leave it behind 4 now

For me, I did not attack Taranto. Bypass Taranto to avoid an unnecessary bloodbath. You should Cunningham, Leclerc, 1 Infantry general (I used Winkelman or Leopold), and another Navy general, I used Olav.

I also prefer to land a force on Taranto to attack the 2nd admiral from land. I used Chuikov (1941 Eastern Front free gen), Leclerc and Cunningham to win with a perfect clear. Leclerc and Cunningham alone can assist in a partial clear for first timers. Cunningham on the battleship (4 hex range) and Leclerc on the armoured car.

I'll try this guide when I can play, at this point I don't want a 3*, all I want is to win the bloodbath that is this mission

I managed to get a prefect clear on this with just Leclerc and Cunningham. Just put Leclerc on the heavy tank and send him to capture Taranto. Using paratroopers won't be able to take Taranto in time. Send all your other forces to the northernmost island. Use all your reinforcements on ships, bombers, fighters, torpedo bombers. Make use of the coastal guns to take care of the Italian navy generals.

Idk why people struggle with this mission tbh, campioni and riccardi are pushovers and capturing taranto ain't to bad either.

I'd argue this entire campaign is entirely F2P. With proper planning, you can perfectly clear all the missions with just the starter generals. It took me a few tries on the star missions, but I managed to do it.

The Italian ships are just too strong for me! Use air Torpedo Bombers, avoid destroying the existing coastal forts and remember to stack and replenish you inf's HP.

Land your Land units onto the Island without Taranto. For your Generals, put Cunningham onto the Battleship, and put Leclerc on Later. Once you have taken the island, build all parachute reinforcements. Put Leclerc on one and send him to Taranto Island. Leave one inf to man the coastal arty. Destroy the destroyers with your main ships the first few turns (save your air on the carrier turn one), and then Blast Campioni. If he isn't dead by your blasting, finish him off with torpedo bombers. By this time, you should have evacuated Taranto, and be trying to take Taranto Island Coastal Arty. With Leclerc, it should be easy, but you may get an unlucky RNG, and it just helps make it easier. Mass produce air, try to keep Cunningham Alive, and put your non coastal arty units from big Island into the water to try to get a hit on Riccardi. He should fall soon.

Adding on this last bit to make it easier, then this will be tallied for you in the competition. You want to buy torpedo bombers and regular bombers from the store. Campioni will most likely take the use of your store bought torpedo bombers to kill. As for the last objective, you're going to most likely have to use your bombers on it. Otherwise, good guide

So after getting stuck on Arras I decided to try the allied campaign. All went well until when I had to defeat Riccardi. The problem is that he heals like crazy to the point where he's able to break even with the damages I do on him.
