hey guys i'm currently looking to buy my first general I have money for almost any tier 2 general, so thats not an issue I juts wanna know if i should go with a cavarly, artillery or infantry general Thanks You should get a cavalry general for a reason that I will say later. Some good cavalry generals are Sulkowski, Golitsyn, and Ney. Golitsyn and Ney can be potentially end game generals as well. Now using your shiny new cavalry general, you need to complete a conquest under 65 turns to get Sophia for artillery because she is VERY strong. France 1798 is a pretty easy one. Britain 1798 is quite easy as well. Sulkowski is best, as he can serve you until you unlock Lan, then train her and give her his experience

Lan (elite princess) has Strike, Surprise, Assault Art, and Leadership. Golitsyn has Strike, Surprise, and fence. Hence Lan=Golitsyn+Leadership+Assault Art-Fence. Assault Art+Leadership>Fence. Hence Lan>Golitsyn. Don't get me wrong, Golitsyn is #1 medal cavalry general

"Berthier is the No.1 medal cavalry."
How do you come by that conclusion? In 2 of the charts he has just one cav. star and 4 arty. Granted his "skills" are for cav.,Strike/Surprise plus Geography but he has just one move. star. SO,to bring him up to the par of Golitsyn in cav. stars he'd end up costing 2300 medals to buy Dumouriez (the cheapest cav. trainer @575) 4 times on top of his initial 945 medals, that comes out to 3245 medals. To give him more movement stars using Diez would add 430 per star to that totals,1720 medals to give him 5 move stars for a whopping grand total cost of 4965 medals! On the other hand Golitsyn has 3 move stars and Diez only costs 430 medals (X2=860) add his intial cost of 955 it comes out to 1815 medals. Add the cost of an item to take up the slack of him not having Geography and he's still WAY cheaper anyway you look at it.

That is the reason I say "If you have enough medals", if you really want a very speedy cavalry, Berthier is your best choice. He is one of the only two who can run 6 hex on Light/Heavy Cavalry(the other one is Davout). To get Berthier, well prepareation of medals is required.

Finally someone who understands that Berthier is a terrible choice for a cavalry general. NOBODY has 5,000 medals to spend on one general, when you can spend 800 for a god like Golitsyn.

Plus the amount of refreshes it would take to get Diez AND Dumouriez 4-5 times each? That's about an entire month. I beat the game in one month.

Berthier is not a popular choice, at all. Lots of people wouldn't buy it, so do I. But for someome really thinks that Berthier's speed worths that horrible price, he is absolutely a good one. I would like to spend 955 for Golitsyn though. But who knows what everyone want? Berthier has TERRIBLE PRICE, true. But it doesn't mean he cannot be compared to tier-3 after fully regrouped.

While you're grinding for Berthier, you could have been getting some strong cavalry generals to level up in rank to a level that they can get Lan. And Leadership+Assault Art>Geography. Hence it makes little sense to go for Berthier
