how i beat this: use all your navy units to destroy enemy navy i use all of em to attack the land unit which already landed in crete and make sure you have a stable economy to hold the west Northern city until turn 10/11 before turn 10 retreat most of your units to the southern city except if you had defeated most of enemy forces nearby the city you dont have to retreat them just hold that city until mission end. Take advantage of the terrain because it will slowdown your enemy panzer and artilery which mean you just need to hold the infantry and also move your artilery and heavy panzer to help defending the city on the right which always heavily attacked (If you can make sure after most enemy move to the south kill the infantry guarding the city on the North East city at turn 12 and land paratrooper there (The enemy will be 3 stack infantry )) Also make an AA Infantry. Cunningham units will help you by destroying the enemy navy. Just replenish and recruit your infantry(the one defending the city) each turn or whenever your infantry are dying

You may want to clear out United Front for some Badges first to upgrade your tech and Special Forces. In a worst case scenario, I think the common AA Special Force can prevent paratroopers from landing in the grids right next to the unit. This may delay the landing of the enemy paratroopers or disperse them. So I heard that if anyone knows how to beat this, it’s you. In your opinion, which of these strategies is best giving another shot? It boils down to how you handle your troops and luck. All of them have their own value and flaws. - Blockading Student is a calculated risk relies on mobility and luck. If it fails, you have just lost one good inf unit. Note: I've never attempted this. - I tried another run just now without gens and even if you play it reasonably well, you can only build defences around Chania to ward off the enemy ships. - The SW heavy tank counterattack works well since the pincer attack can catch the enemy off guard and destroy their inf stacks. However, this relies on holding the NW city as long as possible to succeed. - As for 曹操's video, I stopped watching it quite early. I moved the heavy arty to the river so that the arty can move to the south of Chania. Then, the inf units will "swap" positions such that I cut the enemy inf off using my inf. - Turing the NW inf on the airport into an AA unit and placing him on the pre-built radar does scatter the incoming enemy paratroopers. I forced Student to land on the easter narrow coast and blocked him using my tanks.

Is it possible to use enough AA that the enemy would infact be prevented from spawning? Not completely, just lessen the load.

So I’ve spent the last 4 hours trying to do it and I can’t do it. The last solution I have is that someone guides me through it in real time (ie, gives me instructions as I’m playing). So if you’re interested, drop me a PM.

So if you’re interested, drop me a PM. I think it's best to ignore this for now, clear some Army Groups and upgrade your tech to at least 2-2-2-1-2. It's not going to be the only time you'll face an amphibious operation, especially a defensive Campaign.

is this even possible with no tech upgrades and no purchased generals? or do I have to crash my entire saving for some mediocre dude

is this even possible with no tech upgrades and no purchased generals? or do I have to crash my entire saving for some mediocre dude I did this with just the free gens and no tech. I really have to stress that you have three options. 1. Capture the german airport. 2. Use anti-aircraft guns. 3. Pin the enemy to the beaches. Number 1 is an exploit that I have seen other people do. Use scout and a paratrooper to take the airport. Since the island of the airport is just one tile, this prevents the Germans from spawning paratroopers. Number 2 has you use anti-aircraft guns to deny landing zones for the enemy. A few paratroopers may slip through, but using anti-aircraft guns really keeps the amount of enemy paratroopers that are sent at you to a manageable level. Number 3 is the strategy I used. I let the enemy land their paratroopers, but I blocked them from expanding their beachheads. You'll want to contain their beachheads at 2 or less tiles. Enemy paratroopers that can't move will get destroyed as they try to break through your lines, which should be anchored around favorable terrain. Enemy paratroopers that can't move will also allow you to keep your defensive line short, which means you can rotate your units. Rotation is having a unit leave the defensive line to heal up in the city and then, you have other units fill up the unoccupied position. On the next turn, you move the healed unit back into the defensive line and have another unit leave the defensive line to heal. You are rotating the units so they can be healed while maintaining the defensive line.
