After the last one, I thought I had the last mission in a more relaxed state.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Battle of Crete is hell. It starts of smoothly, but then STUDENT and his guys come in and trash the deck in 3/4 turns. I've gotten to 8/9 turns before I get anhilliahated using infantry to heal and trying to defend as strong as I can. But I cannot seem to do it. Any tips?

Try to utilise land forts and coastal artillery to give your infantry 3 range

What generals? It all boils down to the reinforcements. To get close or win listen VERY CAREFULLY RIGHT NOW. Get the Heavy Tank, and spawn it in the lower left city, move it towards the upper left city. Spawn the Artillery in the city below Chiania and move it towards Chiana. Here is War Masters video for more detailed help.

I have low tech and only free gens, the Southern reinforcement strat from War Master doesnt really work for me since he has Manstein with full tech. Similarly getting annihilated by the last push (multiple enemy tanks and artillery)

Utilise engineering Infantry to construct coastal Artillery to bomb the enemy The enemy doesn't come from the sea though, they either are paratroopers or just appear on the island by a certain turn Then use trenches, bunkers, and land forts to improve defense and extensively recruit and replenish infantry stacks to outlast the enemy

I did it with free generals and lvl 1 infantry and armor. First I put Leclerc on medium tank in south and Cunningham at triple stacked infantry at the city in left. First I cleared the paratroopers and also destroyed the submarine in left by using both ships and some air support. When student arrived, I took the artillery from center to left using the infantry and the tank, I killed him and his comrades quickly. After this, it is fairly easy. I used heavy tank and another ship as reinforcement. Finally I had to paratrooper my center city because of a river which slowed me to defend my center city. I did not build any fortifications.

Paratroop an inf (preferably a triple stack) onto the island airport to the right. Then just torpedo bomb Student and others. Makes it so much easier.

This is how I won, it combines a few strategies. First, you want to parachute the infantry on your left airport to the upper left. All you have to do is scout where the piece of land is, turn your infantry into a parachute regiment, and land there. Then, you want to torpedoe bomb student twice. Put Leclerc on the tank it use it like usually. Move your ships to attack the submarine on the right. (Doing this instead of attack the one on the left allows you to destroy the whole enemy navy.) At Chania, move your heavy artillery to the left, move your light artillery to where your heavy was, and attack the parachute Jaeger. Heal your infantry in the city, and attack the jaeger with your two infantry. On turn 4 you want to have your troops around Chania like this (you want the enemy troops at the top to be destroyed, I just took the picture like this because I didn't have time) Your reinforcements should be the 80 dollar ship (as soon as possible,) heavy tank, and torpedoe bombers (to use on student.) Hope this helps

Tried all these methods and I can’t do it. You may want to clear out United Front for some Badges first to upgrade your tech and Special Forces. In a worst case scenario, I think the common AA Special Force can prevent paratroopers from landing in the grids right next to the unit. This may delay the landing of the enemy paratroopers or disperse them.

In your opinion, which of these strategies is best giving another shot?
