Friendly advice for NATO countries: Just dont try to take Khabarovsk from Siberia. And I'm giving an advice just the reverse of yours: If you are marching toward Asia in 1960, go to Khabarovsk through Siberia. The range of Chinese paraspam can be calculated. If you build a Maginot 8 hexes away from Chinese airport, your troops will be able to reach Khabarovsk and fort-pocket it safely, well, as long as Meretskov is no longer there. Why not 1950? Because of Novikov, and there's a city in the southwest of Chongking. Nah, when I march into Siberia, my end game would be to start a nuclear holocaust so I'll blitz into Khabarovsk, empty out all 9 atomic bombs(on missiles) onto ChangChun, Pyongyang (end NK and take out the lvl 3 airport and nuke facility) , Seoul (take out the lvl 3 airport for Japan landing), Tokyo (Lvl 3 airport, nuke facility and missile station), Osaka, Saporo, ShangHai, NanKing, Hong Kong(1960)/TaiPei(1950), Manila. This is very important as you can prevent nukes from flying, stop missile launches, end NK, be swift in your end game.

Usually, when I march through Siberia my super tanks get nuked from China and my motorized infantry dies from the paratroopers before they get close enough. (PRC reclaims the land I got). I usually storm through the lightly defended middle east. Once I get Chongking it is over.

You need to slide through there to claim the land in order to build a Maginot of land forts that are enough to separate Chinese paratroopers, it will be 8 hexes away from Peking and Changchun. It is the way I always do, and it works every single time.

Their speed is the fastest and, you can save 2 turns when dropping them 2 turns away from city and also you can build as much as you want in one turn. Sure, in 50-60 in most cases you need some two groups of some 10-20 soldiers, but that works fine and quickly.
