Hi all, am currently facing a severe medal shortage so I just want to get one gen for 1945 and that's it. I need to clear 1942 East Indies Campaign to get more medals through achievements
I am considering Nimitz, Donitz, Yamashita or Dowding. Maybe even Kesselring.
Are there any free gens in 1945? I already have MacArthur, Monty, Patton, Nagumo, Govorov, Rommel and Guderian.

I already have MacArthur, Monty, Patton, Nagumo, Govorov, Rommel and Guderian. No, there aren't any free generals after North Africa. I have unlocked East Indies Campaign, but I have not attempted it yet. But, I'm pretty sure Nagumo, Rommel, and Guderian should be enough because I've done 1939 Western, 1941 Eastern, and most of Pacific 1942 only using free generals. |

You might want to think about Leeb, I have found him pivotal in my campaigns.
However, I would wonder what your tech levels are if you struggle with that line up. There is a fine balance, I think, between having the right generals and the right tech level to succeed in your campaigns.

Should I buy Yamashita for the East Indies Campaign? All guides I have found rely on Yamashita to handle either the West or East coast for this mission to be even remotely possible |

I would invest in your tech levels and save your medals. my inf tech almost maxed... I tried the mission again and still failed even with maxed special force tech hahaha |

Alright, Im getting Yamashita followed by Nimitz then, thanks. Very hard to earn medals now though... wish I participated in the GOG3 ET competition
