Do you mean army group? In conquest mode, legions don't have any stars.

Not 1 star sorry I'm used to wc4, but let's say Belgium. I ripped through it in no time. Conquest mode.

Tried Belgium few times - if I take first ger city West French tries to swim around me, basically I planned to sail north myself, Hamburg or thereabouts. If I leave it open everyone just sit there, nothing moves and I really can't brake trough without endangering my base.

My armor Is level 6 and everything else is level 5. I have most of the best generals other than Zhukov. Give me a country and I'll start fresh now, by end of day I'll give you the specs of my guaranteed victory.

Not really. On wc4 all the generals in the world couldn't help if you played as Belgium or say Luxembourg lol. Past GOG Legion mode was extremely difficult. But either way I guess there's no way to up the difficulty. Thanks anyway man.

Why is conquest wayyyyyy to easy. No challenge even as a 1 star state. Can difficulty be changed I agree it's easy. I only did a playthrough on Britain though so I hoped that was because I was pretty Isolated. I also have max armor, art, inf, 4 navy, 3 air. Then I have most 4 star gens, and IAPs. Good spec forces. Plays way too slow in my opinion. Hard to see where to go because of lack of borders or colors unless you zoom in and out frequently. I liked the mode as a concept, but I think the execution was somewhat poor. Seems like a giant campaign map of "Occupy X areas".

Can confirm, conquest is way too easy and the only generals I have bought are Leeb, Guderian and Rokossovsky + free generals up to 1942.It just takes a long time that's all. Even then, most stronger countries are definitely very easily doable without good generals, starting is generally the hard part as with all other modes.

Even then, most stronger countries are definitely very easily doable without good generals, starting is generally the hard part as with all other modes. For that last point on the starting, it depends on a case by case basis. I recently cleared the BEF in the North African Army Group which helped me to pick the Egyptian BEF as my first Conquest choice. The initial battles are fierce, but not as fierce as some of the mid to endgame Campaigns. Plus, if you read the situation well and have practiced the use of paratroopers a lot since Operation Wesrubung, you can use your inf as paratroopers to cripple or take out hostile states. The real kicker comes in when you face the troop spam by dominant enemy states. Due to my experience in GC:R, it's really just not that bad for me. This is especially so when the common inf can be modified with Special Forces to gain tactical advantages instead of having to purely rely on armour. That's why it seemed easier for me. For certain countries, your economy is weaker, your enemies are more numerous and stronger, and your risk of being delivered a 1-Turn coup de grace is greater. This is such a scenario when the opening battles are harder. Although I haven't played any other state, but seeing the first turn knockout of Belgium does give such an impression. It's not going to be easy for newcomers. Overall, it ultimately comes down to choice of country, how you play it, luck and gens used, if any. The countries in the worst positions aka Benelux and certain Balkans states will be extremely tough to win initially due to circumstance. However, if you have a good economy and starting position like the Egyptian BEF, the start will be largely easy.

True, and to add that the ones you (most of the time) rely in is the paratroopers to crush the ai who does not know how to defend cities and just spam all the wae lel
